What Do You Think?

  1. Hi. I'm new to this site and am currently writing a book. And I am completely unsure about my main character. She's a girl and is a clone but doesn't know about it. She is created by her father and is created to be a 'perfect' version of the original. I want to know what 'perfect' would mean.

Depends on what you think "perfect" is, I guess. It's a very subjective concept.

Reminds me of "Fifth element" the movie in 1997 with Milla Jovović and Bruce Willis. Try to look that movie and to figure out their idea. They made perfect human being, like her DNA is perfect and has no mistakes, and she's very smart and beautiful, fast learner, bit weird, she's very uncorrupted, when she realised what is "war" she got depressed and disappointed in the whole humanity, and she's like the most advanced representative of that kind, so she cries a lot and decided not to help humanity, and later Bruce Willis show her what love means and yadda yadda yadda. You'll see.

In my opinion, you'll hard define what is perfect, you can even use the idea of God to be the perfection in some segments, but the more you think about God, the more you realize that he isn't perfect and that it was only the best attempt of humanity to create something "perfect"... Okay, I've got into some deeper philosophy. But you can use that idea. All in all, I like your idea really much and I would like to know more about it when you get some pages written ;)

Thats an interesting idea. I suppose if her father is creating her, it will be perfect relative to his vision of perfection, so maybe think about what her father would see as being a perfect daughter. Hope this helps a bit :)
