    Cynically speaking, perhaps. I prefer a glass half full approach though. Sure, the world is a bit shitty, we are always going to be ignorant to the ultimate truth, and there is no real meaning. But it could be so much worse. And seeing as your on this forum, you're probably reasonably comfortable, probably middle-class. Check your privilege, so to speak. God, I feel poisoned but you know what I mean.

    Privilege of what? Wealth is meaningless, I'd sooner be poor and knowledgeable with no access to a computer than some mindless rich drone.

    Knowledge can't make you happy. Nice things do. And a lot of nice things are gained or helped by a comfortable life. Poor people have problems, often have misery. You have presumably the opportunity for a very pleasant life. Sure, being rich doesn't solve everything. And I think there is such thing as too rich. But we're not talking ultra billionaire, just comfortable. My point is that feeling bad about things being bad is useless. Why dwell on how bad something is or how it makes you feel? Why not move one, solve problems, and find pleasant things. Focus on the good parts and have gratitude they exist. Who needs ultimate knowledge though? We only need practical truths, ones relevant to our own experience. And the universe doesn't need a meaning. We make our own meaning, like words have meaning because we assign it.. My meaning is to be happy, successful, learn, and make an activism impact. That's what I go for so that's what I mean. Is your meaning to dwell on suffering and existential thoughts until you make yourself miserable and miss out on what you could gain and offer to others? Don't make yourself feel bad because. Don't even go close. This kind of thinking should be a reminder for gratitude, and action to solve things. Not a cause to mope. Just saying. Again, it's a good quote though.

    I'm stating my opinion confidently. I don't intend to enforce or impose anything. I'm just phrasing it as an instruction because I believe in it strongly. And I get passionate when I argue, soooo. :bigoops:

    Also, I believe happiness is brought about by relationships and social interaction rather than "nice things".
