It's funny, once you spot where you are making style-errors, you can't not see them any more. They stick out like sore thumbs. Luckily I got better over the years, although I still need to watch out for them.

I agree. You've got to try a number of genre's before you find what you're really good at.

I don't really care for New York, to be honest. It's too crowded and way too cold.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear that the comments helped. You just need to be more minimalistic.

I don't stick to writing one genre. Recently, I've done everything from free verse to newspaper articles and short stories. Whether or not any of it is good is another matter, though.
