"Doc" Smith when I was younger, Clancy, various cats and dogs......mostly fiction and serious historical books and in particular, those less read on figures such as Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Sam Houston. You'd be surprised what's out there that either doesn't agree with "common knowledge" or offers alternative interpretations of factual events. So, I keep an open mind, read what's interesting for my mood.
