First things first, I am not a serious writer and it isn't my dream to be published someday!

The reason I've started writing is to try to gain confidence in self-expression. With age, I've felt a tendency to become more-and-more self-critical and narrow in my thoughts.

I feel that if the trend continues, I will end up a bitter and frustrated old man. I don't want to be the kind of person who lives only for work, not daring to venture beyond their comfort zone and being critical of others who do.

So although my writing may suck, please be kind. I'm not setting my sights that high!
