I am a British writer. I was born in the North of England in 1969. I now live in the South East of England, just outside the M25, with my second wife and daughter. I was raised in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and have also lived in Sheffield, where I went to university, and London.

Since 1992 I have written three novels, mostly science fiction, two motion picture screenplay and dozens of short stories. My novels "theFomalhautPlague" and "Glorious" will be available soon. My third "World War A" will follow. My film scripts are called "Firewall" and "Glorious". "Firewall" was once with a production house and director of some repute, while "Glorious" was long short-listed in the Orange Path screen writing competition. You will find examples of my short stories elsewhere on this website, and collected in the ebook "Memes of Loss and Devotion".

I have a degree in Business Information Systems (computer science). Since the mid 1990's I have worked in the information technology industry. I am a Chartered Information Technology Professional, a Member of the British Computer Society and an Incorporated Engineer. I am also a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and have a (lapsed) PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification in Project Management.

A have an interest in popular physics, molecular biology, astro physics and technology. I know just enough to be able to Google the requisite information.

I also live a life free of all forms of sugar and pursue a low carbohydrate lifestyle in an attempt to return to the modern rendition of the diet we evolved to eat. I also practice intermittent fasting as I do not believe that we evolved to eat every single day.

I am also a Sunderland Association Football Club fan (of the English Premier League). Please feel very sorry for me. H'way The Lads!
