Having retired and escaped to a cloistered home in South Carolina, there to concentrate on reading, writing and painting, he’s been dragged, kicking and screaming back to California to rejoin his three sons and eight grandchildren. His two daughters remain behind in Florida along with three more grandchildren and two great-grand children. JB’s work has appeared in the Jimson Journal, Midwest Literary Magazine, The Quill, Indie Searchlight, Scissors and Spackle, Pedigru Review and most recently The Monarch Review. His collection of short stories entitled Screwing the Pooch has received excellent reviews and won the Reader’s Choice Gold Medal Award for Best Fiction of 2009. Pooch is now available as an eBook in Kindle and iPad, iPhone formats. JB’s Historical/Family Saga novel, Hyde’s Corner, will be coming soon from Pen – L - Publishing.
