@Lewdog I've been waiting for an opportune moment to use that one. You just happened to be the fall guy. :)

CNN just reported that Nobel Prize winning writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez has died.

Weened off the meds and now a week without them entirely (an antidepressant and mood stabilizer) and am in a withdrawal phase. Not miserable, but definitely not up to speed. Unhappy is an overstatement but more or less accurate. :meh:

That sucks. I suddenly stopped taking mine and just ended up with projectile vomiting... and psychotic episodes after a day when I forgot to eat, followed by more projectile vomiting.

But I wasn't unhappy during that. I wish I could say I empathize, but you're going through a rough patch that I do not know. I can only offer my hope that it does not last long.

2nd that. I've weaned off prescription opiates twice and now going through the third time for pregabalin, which also fucking sucks, but I'd rather do that than be a damn slave for pills. I knew they had to go when I realized I was thinking about my next dose more often than sex.

Pills can't be very good slave owners. They don't have hands to hold whips, and even if they did their whips would be soooo tiny.

I have nothing against people taking pills, or pills themselves. Some people with psychotic disorders, for example, can't function without some kind of drug treatment. I just think that for me, I need to go back to being completely med-free for a while to see whether I really "need" them or not. I'm open to needing drugs to be emotionally stable, but I need more evidence than what I have.

    I know, right?

Oh no, their ability to enslave people is based solely on Terror!

Yeah, just to clarify; I have nothing against folks using what pills they need either. I've just been addicted to them for 5-6 years and opiates really take a toll on your body, they mess up my training (training while on codeine makes me feel like I'm literally having a heart attack and larger doses of tramadol lower my blood pressure to the point that if I train too hard, passing out won't be far), digestion, appetite (tramadol changes my sense of taste), they cause strong mood swings etc, i.e. they're starting to be of more trouble than they're worth, especially since their pain relieving effect diminishes over time.

A few years back I kicked them for a few months and just worked out twice a day, 6-7 days a week, and found that I didn't need the pills; the pain was kept in check by the training and lighter weight (less strain on the spine, i.e. my problem area). If it wasn't for the following lectures (sitting messes up my back) and the pain caused by them, I never would've started taking the meds again, so I feel I don't necessarily need them, at least not regularly, but they're a bit different from antidepressants and such anyway that usually only work if taken regularly.

Pills don't hold the answer. The answer is printed somewhere on the bottom of a bottle.

There are 5 murder suicide deaths in close relatives on my father's side of the family (grandfather - suicide; great grandfather and great uncle - killed themselves and their spouses). I, for one, welcome my pill overlords. I believe in modern medicine.

My hubby's been pressing me to make him new Xco promos for his new gym where he is now the Saturday morning head instructor. In Gymanese, he's now the big shit. I made him some promos before. He loved them. My mistake. I'm not a graphic artist. I'm an amazing manipulator of found items. I'm the guy who decorates your house to tasteful perfection but I am not the guy who creates the tasteful items I picked to decorate your now-beautiful home. :(

I passed out three times in a row and as a result of that I got a cut on my chin.

I guess I'll have to play to my advantages, and claim I got the scar during a brutal fistfight.

    Chicks dig brutal fist fighters.

Isn't there something about fair use that lets you use other people's stuff for a promo?

Since he's a licensed instructor for Xco (and numerous other franchised concepts) he (I) can use the logos within promos he makes so long as they are not altered outside of certain specific parameters (he change size, but not color. He cannot change their shape other than to give them depth perspective). If you promise not to laugh, I'll show you what I have so far.... :)

It doesn't look bad... It looks like a typical flyer. Can you shrink the green area and make the picture of William larger?
