I just found the greatest mash-up ever! I give you: Herbie Hancock and Metallica: And, of course, one of the most famous mash-ups: Lady Gaga and Meshuggah in 'Bleedarazzi':
Last week I purchased a Lady Gaga CD. One of the tracks on it is "Judas." This song was on the radio in the U.S. back in 2011, a year where I travelled the east coast of the U.S. So listening to this song brings back good memories of that year and of my travels that year.
Ha! He had a concert in my country last year I think I've been really into Parov Stelar lately if anyone knows them?
@Poziga : Thank you! I absolutely adore them, just went and downloaded "Coco pt 2." and "Paris Swing Box" so groovy
This song always gets me. I have no clue why I like it so much either. Maybe it's just because I love string instruments. Then again, I like the piano version too... This movie has a great album overall.
Really love these two songs which supposedly tell one story. This one is from the perspective of a man murdering his wife and her new lover: The next one tells the story of a man coming back from the dead to get revenge on whoever murdered him and took his wife.
The most beautiful song I've ever heard. Also the first song I looped endlessly as a child. I still listen to it for hours on end.
Why is the shittiest music always played the loudest in the car driving by the slowest? Also, I really liked this song. Never heard of Tallest Man on Earth. Thank you for the intro.
The shittiest music is listened to by the stupidest people. Stupid people are loud because they're intimidated by smarter people and think they can overcome smarter people just by drowning them out. That explains the shittiness and the loudness. As for the slowness, that must be a Puerto Rico thing. Around here, stupid people drive very fast.
Here is a good one. Let's see how observant some of you guys are when watching television. Name the show that this song had a very important role in. Spoiler: TV Show Scrubs
Please do not turn the Music thread into a political thread. @MLM and @Lewdog, it looks like you're taking your argument from the Debate Room into this one, and it isn't welcome here. I never thought I'd see posts Reported from this thread, but it's happened. It happened for political reasons. Please keep politics out of this thread.
Nothing political about my post, just an interesting piece of music I found on youtube. I didn't watch the vids on lewdog's posts in here so if his was a political response to mine, take it up with him.
You were arguing with @Lewdog in the Ukraine thread last week. He brought up Gaddafi. Now you're posting a Gaddafi song. Coincidence? I doubt it. I'm not saying you started it, but I am saying it doesn't belong in this thread. If it continues here, I'll end it.
When did he bring up Gaddafi? I would have responded. I think the song I posted is pretty interesting in itself and a lot less likely to be something posters here have seen before than a lot of what else gets posted. It brings up a lot of questions for me, the foremost being who was it made for? The English lyrics imply it was for Americans. I know the song was floating around before the revolt, so what was the purpose? Perhaps you don't think this is an interesting topic, but I think it is.
i like bob marley, sam cooke, ben e king, nat king cole. i also like some of the 40's & 50's stuff. Stand by me - ben e king (my favourite) unforgettable - nat king cole three little birds, no woman no cry and many more from bob marley i also like classical stuff, hip hop, r&B, michael jackson, imagine dragons and a bunch of other stuff. heavy metal is not my thing, trance or drum & base or clubby music isnt either.
Although my main instrument is guitar, I'm a huge percussion fan. I'm particularly a fan of the multi-percussionist, David Kuchermann. I was surfing through some of his footage and found this. I was really taken by the simplicity of the piece. For all those who want to learn to play the guitar but feel intimidated, it just goes to show how little skill is involved at its most basic level. The guitar part is a breeze, even for a complete newbie and could be learned in around around ten minutes, yet it is really effective.
