Oh yeah shes been doing that alright, along with a lot of screaming, lots of friends and family calling...and screaming. She wont take the ring off and every five minutes i get a reminder that we're engaged. Well more "I'm engaged!" which makes me think I'm not entirely equal here :wtf:

You're not: the wedding is the bride's party, and the groom is just a prop and only present simply because it's impossible to have a wedding without him. :D Congrats in any case!

Recovering from the stomach flu! Not sure what foods are ok, but I'm letting my instinctual cravings guide me.

One aspect of my job that I'm starting to like is the opportunity to do people genuine kindnesses. One lady told me that she always looks for my line because I'm so friendly. An older lady I helped said she hoped I'd be there the next time she comes so I can help her again. (oh, and did I mention she was legally blind?)

It's nice to see people light up when I ask them how their day has been or pay them a compliment or place their bags in their cart for them. Not all customers are very engaging or friendly, which is fine, but they all seem to appreciate my efforts.

Some might say I'm trying too hard, but I believe sharing an act of kindness, a moment of happiness, is one of life's many treasures. It is sad that people go into Walmart expecting poor service, but I'm glad I get to be a happy surprise. ;)

Because I agreed to look after a neighbor's cat, they have bought me two boxes of beer, a large pizza, some bread and milk. I don't know why, but the bread and milk really sweetens it in ways I wasn't sure possible. :D

After several rounds of edits, I think I'm heading into the last round of beta reads before final edits and the querying process. Not putting a time limit on it, but definitely getting excited.

I had karma today. I gave up my train seat to a man with a cane. Later when I got caught in the rain, I ducked into a small cafe for some hot tea. I ended up sitting at a table with the owner who gave me, his "novia," a free ice cream. :)

Just won our match tonight which was pretty sweet, unlike last week the team didn't all turn up drunk of their faces so that's a positive in and of itself.

Other than that, my laptop is back  And I'm off for a Harry Potter Marathon :pop:

Most of studio ghibli work is great, try grave of the fireflies and princess mononoke next. Their work is really the only anime stuff i rate, nice fluid animations, a proper artistic approach to animation. Naruto, Bleach and practically every other anime that kids rave about today is boring poorly drawn mass produced drivel.

    Edit:

Congrats. Been an uncle for a few years now, its nice to be able to give them back at the end of the day. :D

I have to second Princess Mononoke, it's awesome. Well, pretty much anything from Studio Ghibli is...

Thanks, I'm so happy. :) He turned out to be a Virgo after all, despite the careful planning of his parents to make a little Leo, but at least I have one more thing in common with the little fella. :D

Yes. yes. This is the answer. Thank f-ing God, thought it was never going to happen and I'd be stuck forever with a crappy idea. Happy dance.
