Considering in this country Midsummer Murders is on every single afternoon apparently, 'interesting' seems ... well, fitting in one sense. My sister has just admitted that like me she suffers from depression. I think she's very brave for doing that.

We had tons of raccoons when I lived Florida. The gopher turtles would dig under our fence and let them in. They came for our pool. Against all better judgement and advisement, I would give them food. I was fascinated by the deftness of their little hands.

Octavia Butler's Dawn, Imago & Adulthood Rights are often found all bound together as Lilith's Brood or Xenogenesis (depending on the publishing house) and Storm Constantine's The Enchantments of Flesh and Spirit, The Bewitchments of Love and Hate and The Fulfillments of Fate and Desire are most often found all together as Wraeththu. In both cases, the story lines are so tightly tied, one to the next, that it makes sense to issue them as an omnibus, which I figure is just a fancy term for the thing you mention. Sheri S. Tepper has a book that ranks amongst my favorites called Grass that is part of a trilogy that includes Raising the Stones and Sideshow. These could not be strung together into a cohesive volume because the stories, in my opinion, are insufficiently related one to the next, regardless of how stongkingly well they are written.

Someone brought this article up in a previous conversation elsewhere in the forum as regards the (in my opinion) fetish of maintaining French diacritics in loan words that have been with us for centuries, but ignoring diacritics for all other loan words from all other languages. At least as regards orthography, I have to agree with him there.
