Is that your BA? (I don't quite understand how it works in the US) Sounds fascinating though. Good and comprehensive. :)

Yep, it's my BA. I'd have to go to grad school to get my MA.

I moved house recently, much bigger place. That's the good bit.

Minstrel, what the hell? they can order you to paint your own house?? and give you a deadline? I detest busybody mimby people that complain, i understand there is an acceptable standard of upkeep needed etc etc but it should be under the "common man" style law.

Sitting here laughing. I just realised that after half of my opening scene I switched gender on my MC.

Gonna go to Canada next Monday and cut a whole week of school. It'll use up all six of my available excused abscences.

I shall return with a short concept piece from a book idea I have.

My clock is off by 8 seconds a week, after 2 months of tinkering!
[IMG] (fig. 1 my skeleton clock circa sometime around 1850)

Better news: My gandmother's great grandmother's heirloom clock is back from the clock doctor (cloctor?)! It's sitting on my counter, to be tinkered with and checked over before it goes to live at my mom's house.
[IMG] (fig. 2 My grandmother's great grandmother's china clock, 1882)

Addendum: That pottery clock houses a deceptively loud tick. I could hear it at the clocktor, over an entire room full of clocks, and I can hear it now from anywhere in the house.

Despite all the bullsh*te over the last few months Scotland voted No! Glad they saw through all the nationalist rubbish and found sense.

I'm done arguing. I'm very sad, but we lost the battle, and I accept the result as the will of the majority. Enjoy your victory. Were you able to vote?

Nope, i'm not allowed to vote i'm English. I was largely indifferent to be honest, i'm just glad we kept the UK.

Ed Miliband is quite the tw*t, he's not inspirational, hes not charismatic, he comes across as irritating and false, i just want to hit him. The rest of his group won this vote not him.

I agree. I hope Labour can return to its roots—and soon—so there is really a two-party system in operation in the UK. I'd feel less awful about this result, if I thought a better Labour government might be able to balance the Tories. It's never a good idea when any one party thinks it can do anything it wants, and nobody's going to stop it.

Cameron this morning saying he'll find an answer to the west lothian question in just a few months. I'd love to live in whatever strange little world he lives in, it must be nice.

I think England should continue to do what the U.S. wants. They still owe us from burning Washing D.C.!

Well, today I bartered and sold around 100 of my books. A lot of them are books from my teens that I will never, ever read again. Honestly, it's nice to have a good clean out, make room for new things. In return I got a few books I need for my MA and coffee cups.

There is still a lot of work to do, but this is a great start in a planned downsize, and change (or 'revamp') to my life. It's been long overdue.

£20. You might have to wash it out before using it, mind.

There is a praying mantis on the screened window outside of my office. It's been there for roughly 7 hours. Just chillin'. Prayin' about bug stuff.
