Welcome to the forum thirdwind! Make sure to check out the New Member's Guide before taking in the rest of the place. Welcome again and enjoy!
Let me first say I would have responded sooner but I'm still having problems with my keyboard. So I'm only able to brows the links I have bookmarks for and can't type anything. So that means you might not hear from me from time to time until I get a USB keyboard. I was originally in my first post only talking about my greetings, not the mods. I know the mods greetings have a purpose to spread the New Members Guide, and @KaTrian made my point that it isn't easy saying something original every time. On another board I got counseled for using a cookie cutter greeting, so I don't want to do that. In my second post I was just joking as a follow up joke to what I assume @thirdwind was joking as well. So if there was any confusion that hurt any feelings I'm sorry.
How about using a poem? Something like this: Roses are red, Violets are blue, I've read the New Member's Guide, And so should you.
The best one I've ever seen was this, it was called 'A Poem on Valentines Day': Roses are red Violets are blue Sugar is sweet And you're a bastard.
lifes mission: include phrase a business of ferrets in every fantasy novel I write. This, yes this is the trademark for which I will be known.
Ha! I don't remember the last time I went to a gay bar. They are huge fun though, maybe I should go back.
I used to go to a sports bar in Victoria, BC, and they eventually turned into a gay bar. The only difference between the sports bar and the gar bar was that the gay bar had a baby grand piano right in the middle of it.
Ah, true yeah. Actually, I found gay bars to have an in general much more friendly atmosphere than a regular bar.
Not sure if it's because of that or what but at least one gay bar in Helsinki was eventually overtaken by a straight clientele. They advertised themselves as 'straight-friendly' so maybe they were too friendly.
Straight-friendly indeed! That is something. If I were a gay man I'd imagine that would annoy me, haha.
I've just noticed something that I think is amazing! Ever noticed how the Dwarf runes in The Lord of the Rings are not the same as the runes found in The Hobbit? The runes found in The Lord of the Rings are Tolkien's fictional dwarf runes. The runes found in The Hobbit? They are actual Norse runes. You can actually use The Hobbit to learn ancient Norse runes.
