Having the ability and means to do things as simple as laundry and vacuuming. I love the 'just cleaned' feeling. :D Laundry is sorted and in progress and vacuuming is done. Boys were banished to the kitchen for the duration, Rue voiced his displeasure the whole time...

The internet - as a kid I missed anime and manga sorely and didn't have any access. Now I can get my fill whenever I like! :D

DOS game simulator - which means I can still own DOS games, one Chinese RPG in particular, and open it to listen to its awesome techno music whenever I like, even if I never play it anymore. Just knowing I can go visit that particular memory lane whenever I fancy is very nice.

I know you said 2 things, but I'll add a third. A good husband who just spent a good hour comforting me and bought me chocolate after a little fight earlier tonight, even though it was mostly my fault.

Found a new artist today with an album that I'm pretty sure I enjoy start to finish.

Watching Avatar, the one of the Airbender sort, and indulging in completely frivilous reading. :agreed:

I'm just glad I'm much more in tune with my Sugar Plum Faerie side rather than that of the Grinch, which seems to be dominating most folks nowadays.

A warm south wind blowing up river. The snow's gone and the air is supple.

Looking up in the morning and not seeing dirt. A good start to any day.

Snow tomorrow maybe. Might cancel some plans that were made for me so that I can go do what I want.

    Secrets? What secrets?

Around here we don't get snow. We get traffic, and it bellows secrets as it comes, usually in very profane language!

My parents accepted my being gay through a lens of reason when I was quite young. There was a period of adjustment, but there is no horror story to tell.

I was spared the damage and destruction of "reparative therapy". Such practices and organizations should be criminalized.

Great! I had a somewhat similar experience. Maybe we should start a thread about coming out.

    Caffeine pills.

The fact that I stayed up writing last night and still managed to avoid falling into that awlful < 6.9 hours of sleep zone.

My school's wide variety of very attractive females.

Being a kid in the 70's, learning brand new ABBA songs from the radio, Joni Mitchell, Chicago, Jefferson Airplane... Not needing anyone to explain to me the symbolism in a pair of roller skates and a key. I had those skates. I had that key.

Remembering how good was to be less connected with the World, and more connected with my world.
