"Allright, alright, kids should stop playing around and leave this to the work of professionals..." Said a monotone deep voice.
"Actually, forgot that it sounded lame. My point is, this man is a pro and you are just amateurs at most"

The man who came into scene dressed in a business suit, a so common one that made him look boring, this matched with his regular combed hair, regular glasses and stoic look on his face. A man who looked extremely boring and uninteresting.

"Eric Thomson, accountant and many other business. Nothing personal Mr. Heatcliff, but I'm currently being paid to get that book and you seem to be in the way" stated the man, after that he simply raised a gun, quickly aimed and shot"

    --------------------------------------

Hikaru had remained quietly without interfering in the situation. She didn't recognized that book, but she certainly knew the importance of it. Yet not the importance it had for Mikkish.

"I...I have no money to pay you.... I'll do anything, so please treat me!" Exclaimed the girl in the office that belonged to Eric Thompson"

"Anything?" replied the man apparently interested yet if he was it wasn't surely reflected on his voice.
"This is the moment when a dirty man would abuse of its position and attempt an aggressive and sexual behavior toward the innocent girl. Still, as reality is not a fairy tale, it's neither a grim one. I think you could repay me the favor by looking something for me" said Eric.

Hikaru didn't found his joke funny at all and it seemed the man didn't either or just didn't care. Still if there was a chance she could get that treatment she was willing to look for that something. "What is it?" asked the girl.

"A certain book, I don't know what is it about, neither what it does, less it's appearance. But a contact of me want it. And what I currently know is that one of the first grade students at the campus have it." replied the man.

With such little clue Hikaru looked confused but as if Eric would had read her thoughts he said.
"C'mon Hikaru, that stare makes you look like an idiot. No man will want you like that. Of course you don't have clues for the book, but keep your eyes open for anyone who seems obsessed with certain something. Anyone besides you and that box of course"

The girl blushed and her hands instinctively moved toward her bag.

"Uuum, right, I'll do it. Will search for that book....."

    ----------------------------------------------------

So far the girl had her suspicions about Mikkish's book but didn't say anything yet. However this time she was sure. She produced a cellphone (Which she had trouble to recover before) and dialed Eric's number.

"Eric! I know where the book is!" Exclaimed through the phone.
"Is in a forest, close to.....uuuuum " waved as she didn't knew the exact location, yet Eric replied.
"I know where you are miss. I'm around the place."
"You were? what are you doing there??" Asked confused.
"Simple, I caught the signal of the Doppelganger, so I came to check." Replied the man. On his position, Eric quickly noticed the forest and headed into it.
"I'm entering, tell me the situation please"...

I knew immediately that the bullet that was tormenting me was gone... I rushed forward, but not toward Heathcliff... no... toward David and that book. I was wrapped in a bright white oval... a small barrier... I sacrificed size in favor of mobility and strength. I would only be able to protect myself... but I could not allow David to continue with whatever ritual he was planning. But... I knew that David would likely be too strong for me... but... David wasn't my intended target.

That book... it had cost so many lives... it made Mikkish act strangely... it contained enough knowledge for David to have to pull all of the magical energy to him for god knows what ritual... it caused us all to be threatened by an unknown assailant... it'd be a shame to lose such knowledge and history. But, I had to put an end to this, if I just take down David or Heathcliff, someone else would go on to abuse the book.

One strike, two strikes, three strikes... the barrier shattered and was replaced as it was constantly being pelted with bullets as they tried to stop me from attacking him. Cracks formed along the barrier each time that it was struck, it shattered like glass and then was replaced... not without a bullet coming in first and striking me, either a graze, or a full on hit through one of my limbs or my abdomen. "Oh deity that takes pity upon this world... give me strength to see myself through this trial... I must protect my friends... no... I must protect everyone on this island!" I muttered to myself.

When I finally got in front of David, I allowed the barrier to be shattered one last time. I only needed to survive for my next, and possibly final attack, I raised my hand in the air and a ball of bright white energy appeared above my hand, I brought my hand down quickly, the ball flew straight at the book, ready to turn it into nothing but ash. "CHECKMATE!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

    Shit!

Where did this asshole come from!?

Heathcliff whistled both his and Eric’s bullet meeting with a ‘ping!’ ricocheting off one another but before any offense could be mounted against the new challenger.

It was Leon whom mounted a strategy the active bullets followed his attack and as expected the bullet moved to defend but instead simply dealt damage.

Heathcliff’s own bullet went through his right shoulder.

“Fuck!” He snapped going down on one knee and coughing out a whistle at Leon and on cue the bullet curved around and headed towards the samurai.

    ---

    ‘Snik’

Joe’s hand stopped only a few inches short of the book.

A nasty looking black katana which Joe’s eyes instantly recognized as Junior had been nicely pushed through Joe’s stomach and just as quickly torn out. David flung the blood off his sword. His eyes….or what were his eyes, once innocent now cold and inhuman, like looking into the eyes of a black vortex pulling and eating at Joe’s very existence.

“You really shouldn’t shout before you attack Joe.” David shook his head with a sigh. “You’re the one in checkmate.”

And with that Heathcliff's bullet slammed into Joe's chest toppling him over........and silence fell on the battlefield.

Leon smirked and threw up a jet black barrier, the bullet ricocheting off of it, but of course, cracks formed, at best, the barrier would take one more hit before breaking, he looked over at David and saw that he had stabbed his idiot doppelganger and a bullet ripped through his chest. But he couldn't care less... he saw the katana David was wielding. He unconsciously took a look down at his katana... it was damaged horribly from the explosion, at best, it could cut a tomato or warm butter without being repaired and sharpened. He smirked. "That katana is totally mine when I kill him." He thought.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I felt the cold steel of the katana... it felt like it was piercing through my very soul... I watched dumbfounded as he withdrew the katana, I fell foward as I felt something slam through my back. I felt the burning pain from both wounds... but... I held onto consciousness... I coughed blood onto the ground in front of me, and with as much energy as I could foster, I slowly lifted my head up to look at David, I looked into those cold eyes. I reached out and put my hand on his knee. "...I'm sorry everyone... I failed." I muttered. "...But the one I owe the biggest apology to is... you David." I said weakly. "I'm so sorry... this is all of my fault... I hurt you, I didn't mean to... but that doesn't mean a thing, whether or not it was intentional, does it...?" I asked, my voice cracked, tears filled my eyes and slid down my cheeks. "It doesn't change the fact that I hurt you... I'm so sorry David... I failed everyone... but more importantly... I failed you, I understand if you can never forgive me... but please... don't take it out on them... please..." I said, I coughed weakly. "Please..." I muttered, my eyes slowly began to shut as everything grew dark. "Please..." I muttered one last time before I slid into unconsciousness.

Jinx's shoulder whipped back, her feet barely keeping ground as she held back an agonizing scream. She clenched her teeth when she saw Joe moving towards David and then being stabbed by Junior. This time she let out a gut wrenching scream, "JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

She turned to David with cold fire in her eyes, "RIP OUT HIS EYES! RIP OUT THE GUNMAN'S FUCKING EYES!"

Suddenly screams began to fill the clearing, agonized cries of the dead as their attention to the gunman became more futile. The boulders and rocks fell to the ground as thousands of hands made to rip and gouge out the assassin's eyes. Jinx ran forward, blood streaming down her shoulder towards Joe's body. She fell to her knees in front of him, ripping off her coat to wrap around the mess of blood that was coming out. She sobbed, "JOE! NO! NO! YOUR NOT GOING TO DIE ON ME! YOUR NOT GOING TO FUCKING DIE!! NO!!!!! I SWEAR I WILL SHOVE YOUR SPIRIT BACK INSIDE YOU, IF YOU THINK YOU ARE LEAVING. SOMEONE FUCKING HELP HIM!" Rage and anger ripped her to pieces as she moved her eyes back to David,"HE WAS YOUR FRIEND! YOU SON OF A BITCH! WE WERE ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!!"

She came closer and punched him across the side of the cheek to weak to cause any damage, and to angry to care if he stabbed her. She sobbed, blood flowing down the length of her body from her shoulder as she stared at him,"We trusted you."

Meanwhile the two professionals continued his duel. As one gun had no effect, Eric was dual wielding now firing quickly at his opponent all while maintaining his stoic face. Yet as expected of a man with such marksmanship his bullets were being parried with bullets. Still Eric was just using them as a method to get closer to his opponent and defeat him with short range combat. Then the spirits of the deceased commanded by Jinx begun to tear the man's eyes. Of course Eric couldn't see them, but the scream of the girl and the sudden movements of the man was enough information. A good chance, Eric raised his gun and aimed for the head.

"Enough!..... Now I'm totally gonna kill that retard!!!" exclaimed Hikaru while revealing herself. Her face was literally injected in rage all while she forcibly took one of the belts wrapped around her arm and threw it to the ground. The belts that gave her a limited self control.

She did not bring any weapon, thus she could only rely on her own magic. However as once Eric explained to her, the belt also restricted her uncontrolable magic.

Her hand readied a small object, one of her talisman... no this case was different, it was a small sheet of paper, a charm with japanese symbology written with the meaning of both a curse and a deadly prayer. "BURIAL"

With her other hand she removed her red scarf which suddenly moved like a snake as if it had gained life, yet it was controled by Hikaru's will. All the time she had that talisman around her neck just in case. "RESTRICTION AND BINDING"

And then she dashed, like a beast she dashed against David, her hand waving the scarf as a whip, enough to forcefully bind the boy's body to it once in contact. And her other hand ready to throw him several meters under the ground. She was intending to bury him alive. Once again she left her murder instinct to take control of herself.

"I'll kill you. I'LL KILL YOU TO DEATH!!" she exclaimed.

Let the weight of the ground crush your bones to dust and the insects to devour your rotten flesh!

“Oh!” Heathcliff let out a cry of pain as a bullet blasted through his right hand.

He growled, blood dripping to the ground.

“Oh man…” He muttered. “That was fucking gay.” His pained eyes narrowed at Eric. “Kill!” Heathcliff snapped, three bullets quickly speeding towards the other professional.

    ---

“I believe that will be enough.” David chuckled and tightly gripped the wrist of Jinx crushing. The sounds of her bones snapping left a pleasure smile but Jinx couldn’t stay to enjoy as David used her as a human shield against Hikaru.

The whip of a scarf impacting itself on Jinx's, immobilizing her.

David jumped backwards eyeing everyone on the battlefield.

The blue haired boy finally on his feet and that cold satisfaction clear on his face. He dropped the open book in front of his feet and then…..and then…..and then….

    ‘SNIK’

David repeated what he'd done to Joe but this time....to himself, and once again silence fell on the battlefield and bringing the violence to a halt completely, even Heathcliff who's face was twisted in a painful scowl was wide eyed at what just had occurred.

David's blood pooled down on to the open pages of the book staining them, the ancient seemed to glow at being given a crimson bath. "Owy..." David said a frown on his face as he let his arms dropp. "Owy, owy,....OWY!" He sniffed tears beginning to form in his eyes.

He looked around his wet eyes confused and pained.

"Wha....where....wha....what's going on?" His breathing increased

Magical tremors started to increase, entire ground shaking and vibrating knocking most everyone off their feet with the exception of scared boy who’d been impaled. The black sword in his chest began to shake violent as well and to seep the blackest of shadows.

The horrifying scene didn’t last long however, David’s body exploded into pure gore and magical energy the power of it leaving a crater in the ground as his arms, legs, pieces of his body and that innocent head of his flew in every which direction.

Energy even bringing down the entire clearing sending Rue, Leon, Heathcliff, Eric and others up top spilling down with the rubble coating the area in a fine dust cloud.

Leon couldn't help but smirk as he saw the retard stab himself... then the sword, it was seeping with shadows... now any normal person would say to stay the hell away from that sword and to not even touch it with a ten foot pole. Leon on the other hand wanted it even more now. It contained something powerful, something that would give him an upper hand in a fight. He contemplated how he was going to grab it when suddenly he saw that the retard had somehow blown himself up. He was jubilant for only a second as he realized that there was going to be no more trouble. But that was quickly cut short by a mixture of energy and rubble knocking him down covering him, if he hadn't had that barrier up then he would have likely have gotten harmed far worse than he was. Though, he was still injured, it was painful and an inconvenience, he could feel warm sticky blood ... but he'd get out of this soon enough.

He focused and a dark barrier surrounded the largest piece of rubble on him and shifted it aside... it wasn't as large as the bus as Joe had moved, and he hadn't done too much in the fight magic-wise, so he had enough magical energy to be able to shift just enough to be able to get up. Once he had shifted off the heavier pieces of rubble, he shifted off the rest by hand and stood up. He looked down at his clothes and frowned. Covered in dust, matted with blood, and cut and torn from the rubble and no doubt that assassin's bullets. He'd have to purchase some new clothes later. For now, it was time to find that sword.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I was jarred awake by new pain... something was crushing me... rubble... lots of it... what happened... where was everyone... were they okay...? I took a shallow breath and shut my eyes... drawing on the lingering magical energy that I could feel... I needed to take care of my wounds... I could worry about the rubble later... if I expend what little energy that I have on the rubble I would likely bleed out before anyone would find me. I shut my eyes and allowed the pink aura to envelop me... it glowed brightly around my sword and bullet wounds... I focused mainly on the sword and bullet wounds in my abdomen, the ones on my face and limbs would have to wait until a proper healer could look after me. I felt warmth flowing into the wounds... not the harsh heat that I felt before, but a soothing warmth that was slowly taking the pain away. It wasn't healing it fully... but it was taking the pain away and stopping the bleeding... Once I felt too tired to continue, I stopped and stared at the sky... I hoped someone would find me soon.

"Joe what the hell are you doing?" I grumble to myself seeing him rush off towards David the moment the bullets threatening him and I vanish. He's being such an idiot. I look around trying to contemplate what to do. I really felt powerless at the moment and that just made me mad. Nothing I could do.... I look back towards Joe and then stop and gape at the scene. He had be stabbed right through with Junior. Now slumped on the ground unconscious or dead probably the later. "Holy hell...." I was wrapped up in my panic and thoughts until the next thing I know I was blown to the ground by the pure magic and various rubble that went flying at me. A bit later I blink my eyes open to look around. "A-ack...." I tried to move and was met with a symphony of unpleasant shock waves of pain throughout my body. I could feel my consciousness slipping away as I closed my eyes.

Mikkish saw all his hard concentration produce mere smoke on Heathcliffs head, and paused momentarily before a bullet came up and left a deep cut across his face right below his eyes. THis was what set him off, though he was more pissed about his pyrokinesis.

"OH GOD FUCKING DAMNIT! WHAT THE FUCK? I START WILD ASS FIRES ALL THE FUCKING TIME AND THE ONE FUCKING TIME THAT I CAN FUCKING CONTROL IT, IT FUCKING GOES OUT! FUCK! I-" But before Mikkish was able to continue ranting, to occupied with his rage about pyrokinesis to notice anyone else's injuries. David suddenly...stabbed himself like some samurai and a magic pulse blasted a crater in the area, sending not only dirt and mud but also bits of David everywhere.

Mikkish didn't have time to process what happened, as the explosion sent him falling backwards again. THis time, he fell backwards onto the roots of a large tree, and smacked his head on the trunk, knocking him out.

The storm, so violent and wild only a minute ago, now dissipated in the sky, allowing sunlight and warmth to fall back onto the island. The ground was wet with mud and rain, but there was no hint of the storm in the sky. It would have almost been beautiful to witness, had it not been for the tragedy that had just happened.

    BAD TOOOOO THE BONE

The dust began to settle and storm slowly let up, the ground slick with rain and blood. In the distant where David had once stood before he’d imploded. “Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..” An orgasmically charged deep voice, voice all too familiar some. “Yeeeeeeeeeeeeah.” It said as if climaxing.

The source of the voice and what stood only about fifteen or so feet away from everyone was NOT David nor was it anything resembling and it was most certainly not a slender sexy looking man with red eyes and black hair.

    No....no....no....no

The enlarged head of a Komodo dragon with curled goat horns were mounted on to a humanoid bat like body covered with black fur with dragon like wings attached to his back and the legs of a goat at the bottom half of him.

Oh but it got work worse.....much worse......

It was a male, disgustingly and terrifyingly so....enough to make any Nun vomit in holy water and pass out from shock this creature was tightly gripping the black sword in one hand and the book in the other, while giving a bright smile with a mouth filled with shark teeth to those who’d been downed by the explosion.

And perhaps the most shocking thing of all....

    WAS

    THE

    FACT

    THIS

    BEAST OF THE FIELDS

    STOOD

    EXACTLY

    FIVE FEET TALL

"Bwhahahahahaha!" He cackled slugging the blade over his shoulder. "Wakey wakey my new subjects! It is now a world of EVIIIIIIIIL!!!"

    100 Years later

"Why are do doing this, Marium! Would you betray the masters? Your friends? Me?" A Japanese girl in her 20's called out to a blond boy her age letting loose wave after wave of destruction upon the island.
"You can not understand, Avi." He called back. He threw his hand to the side and wave of gray magic rolled over a nearby building. It aged at an impossible speed and crumbled to pieces. "The masters are the ones who betrayed us! They've been lying to all of us!"
"No, Marium!" Avi pleaded, her thick accent adding to plea. "The Dark Ones are corrupting you! Can you not see through their lies!?" She raised her wagasa (a traditional Japanese umbrella) and spun it, causing a piece of debris that had been flying towards her to ricochet off.

"Can't you see through the masters!?" Marium countered. "They've lied to us this whole time. It is they who are evil, not the so called Dark Ones. Join me, Avi! Together we can save this island...then the world."
"No, Marium. Please." Avi cried, a tear slid down her cheek. "I don't want to fight you! You're my best friend."
Marium's blue eyes flashed. "Then don't!"

    ----
Flashes of light. Pain. Falling. Darkness. "You won't die today." Marium's voice...like a whisper. Avi slowly opened her eyes. Everything was dark. In the darkness all around her she heard sounds like a building crumbling. She sat up, brushing her black hair out of her eyes. Another piece of building crumbled away, revealing a dim light and rain. Avi immediately stumbled towards it, her wagasa still tightly held in her hand. The hole was a ways up, and there was no way to climb out of it. She summoned the wind and it lifted her gently out of the hole and away from the wreckage to a clear spot in the wt grass. When she saw what was around her, she gasped and almost cried. "Marium, what have you done..." She whispered. The building before her was unlike anything she'd seen before. Despite the burning hole in the center, she could tell it was obviously advanced. As were the items scattered around her. Metal, glass, the devices were foreign, confusing. And the trees. They were so tall. Much taller than she had remembered them. Everything was different, foreign, and yet she could tell by the feeling of the magic in the Island she was still in the same place. What had Marium done to her? Had he used forbidden magic?

Avi clutched her wagasa to her chest and called out, "Masters? Harriet? Emily? Timothy? Anyone here?" Silence was her response. Perhaps they'd moved on to a different part of the island. She lifted a hand to the air, feeling the wind. Thunder roared around her, the wind fierce and violent making it difficult to concentrate. The strongest concentration of magic appeared to be in the east. It was strange...she didn't recognize it. But it was her only lead, so thats where she began to head.

The rain poured heavily all around her as she traveled towards the magical energy. Some magical thing was summoning the rain and lightning, but not only that. Unbeknownst to Avi, whatever dark magic was at work was summoning her curiosity as well.

The source of magic became stronger, and struck more terror in her soul as she got closer. An image then appeared in her mind. One of a clearing in the woods where she had never been, but was suddenly very familiar with. And no matter how ominous and obviously dangerous the magic source was, it made Avi still extremely curious. Filled with an inexplicable desire to find the clearing, she used her magic to lift her a few feet off the ground a rush her in the right direction. The spell lasted only a few seconds but it had helped her make significant progress. She landed on the ground again and began to run, holding her Japanese skirts up so they didn't catch on anything.

As she ran closer, the cursing screams of a male voice grew louder, as did the sound of bullets flying and others quarreling.

Lucky for her, she would not make it in time. Suddenly, somewhere not too far, but just far away enough in front of her, a massive explosion of pure magical energy sent bits of ground, trees, and some small, bloody bits of what unfortunately were human.

The sky cleared up. The rain stopped pouring, though the ground remained muddy and drenched. The urge to follow the magic signal in the clearing, however, remained strong. Perhaps if she got there, she could find answers.

Avi stepped through the clearing, ready for battle. Her wagasa poised in front of her, she fully expected to see Marium in a fight with the Masters and students. But the scene before her was far different. People her age lay sprawled on the ground, likely from the explosion. Their clothes, weapons, even hair styles....they were strange. Like nothing she'd ever seen. The people, they weren't her masters or her fellow students. Who were they? Shadow mages? No...they weren't in black...spies? She aimed her wagasa (umbrella) at them. "Who are you!? Spies!?" She yelled in English, though her accent made her difficult to understand. A heavy wind began blowing around them. "What have you done with my island!? Where are the masters!?"

It was then she noticed the five foot tall monster. No doubt a demon summoned by the Dark Ones. She opened her wagasa and aimed it at him. "Demon! Get off my island, or be sent back to the netherworld."

Leon saw the figure and crossed his arms, he saw the blade and sighed. "Hm... I guess this got more complex." He said simply, ignoring his anger at his prize being snatched away by some ugly beast. He didn't even need to glance at his old katana. The old piece of crap had snapped in two, already weakened from the explosion. It was useless, completely useless. It was going to be a win-win in his book. Getting a new katana and having a reminder that one of the biggest nuisances in his life had killed himself in such an over the top way. He tilted his head. "Sorry to break it to you, Junior, I assume, I don't bow down to anyone, though I will give you this, you gave that idiot one hell of an entertaining death." He said, he chuckled softly, seeing some evidence of the gore that had been left behind in the clearing around him.

I heard a voice... and I just knew who it belonged to... Junior. He had released himself... he used David and that book to do it... and it was my fault. If I hadn't scolded him and Rue, then he wouldn't have succumbed to Junior, he wouldn't have had all of those people killed for that book, then Junior wouldn't be among us now... I had to make this right somehow.

I heard Leon talking... and an unrecognized female voice...? "H-Help..." I called out weakly, I knew Leon wouldn't lift a finger to help, but this newcomer would be fresh and might be able to get me back on my feet... I can't just sit around and do nothing while everyone else works to clean up my mistakes.

It was difficult for Eric to stand up after that shock. Yet the man made it without complaining.
He had to use the remains of a tree to maintain his balance as he now lacked half of the left leg. It wasn't just the leg actually, together with some parts of the suit torn, he had the right arm completely broken, and perhaps the most bizarre was that a large portion of his head was missed, in fact while the right of his head was intact, from the left he only had lips, all above was completely missed, not eyes, not nose, not even skull. Yet from that wounds little blood gushed, and one could now discern that instead of skin, muscles and bones, there was plastic, wood and some metal pieces, thus there wasn't a bloody pulp mess on the left part of his head, his arm or leg, instead they looked as if a piece of fragment of some plastic figure had been suddenly torn apart.

He looked at the center of the dust and saw his hypothesis confirmed. A demon, a real demon. He had dealt with demons before and sure they weren't a nice element in the job.

He sighed and said. "Is really troublesome when things turn this way. Bad business indeed."

Jinx started to scream when a scarf wrapped around her body and she turned silent her eyes widening as she tried to fight her restriction. Her limbs remained immobile, and panic began to set in when David moved away. She couldn't watch what was happening behind her, but seeming as she was the nearest one to David, her body felt the full force of the explosion. She flew forward unable to move or catch her self as she hit the ground hard, rolling until she hit the trunk of a tree, spine first. She gasped, blood flowing from her shoulder and her eyes turned a pale lucid white. The zombies fell to the earth, and the screams remained silent. Jinx's body slumped, breath coming out slow as her skin began to turn a sickly pale with the loss of blood. She didn't speak, or utter a word, as a darkness creeped upon her, shutting her away from the demon, and the unimaginable pain that soared through her in waves.

Her eyes slowly opened, one looked the sky blurry and gray, the other just observed black and dark red as it was covered by blood that gushed from one of many wounds.
She heard a bit of talking but it was all hard to understand.
Her whole body was numb except for one point that cried in pain intensely.
She made a effort to raise her head and find why was so painful. First attempt failed as her body felt extremely weak, the second one failed too and the third one worked.
It was all blurry and dizzy that she felt like throwing up if she were to have had the strenght to. She visualized first the demon, then Jinx who was close to her but neither of both images she could understand. Her eyes then looked at her body, blood flowing from several wounds, her clothes torn, her left leg twisted in a strange, non anatomical angle and then the point that hurt intensenly, her abdomen, precisely the right flank, had an abnormal figure protruding from it. A bit of focus made her realize that it was actually a branch, a thick branch piercing her abdomen completely, it apparently found its way to enter through her back as she smashed a trunk when she was launched and was now protruding from her abdomen.

C...curs....e.... this......s...s....hi...shiiit....... Thought before fading away.

Minutes earlier, Mikkish' pyro attack had yielded much more devastating results earlier than what was seen. The smoke which appeared on Heathcliffs head was a mere tip of the iceberg. True, Mikkish was able to direct some of it, and no other hint of flames appeared at the time. Though despite how it seemed, fires did ignite all around them, but were quickly suppressed by the heavy rain. But now the sky had cleared, and the fires, seemingly dead or simply unborn, were merely dormant.

Suddenly, smoke began to appear in a ring all around the clearing. The trees and grass, though damp, quickly dried before the heat of the fire and caught flames. The fire traveled quickly, devouring much of the forest around the clearing all around the group, Heathcliffs body, and the massive, terrifying, five foot tall demon wielding a deadly blade.

And Mikkish? Well he was still laying there, at the foot of the tree, passed out.

Junior cracked a nasty smile at Avi pointing his sword up at her. “How can it be your Island when it is my world.”

He snorted out a laugh. "Hehehehehhehehe!!.” He flapped his wings beginning to rise upward. "I shall let you all live .....for now and take my leave from this Island." He smirked. "Consider your lives a token of thanks for freeing me from that moron."

Junior let out one last cackle. "You're welcome to keep his body parts, any who I'll be off." He turned his back to them. "Bon voyage!" And with that the demon took off at tremendous speed, bolting through the sky and out of sight.

A demon loosed upon the Earth, and it seemed it was the act of these people before her that had done so. She wanted to question them...but most lay unconsious. Bleeding, dying. The result of the explosion. She couldn't question them if they were dead.

Avi began to spin the wagasa in her hands. A soft wind, scented of jasmine and other spices, began blowing around the injured. She wasn't the most adept at healing magic, but hopefully it would be enough to get them back on their feet and talking. She had many questions that needed answering.

I took in a gulp of air and coughed up more blood as I felt the rubble shifted off of me. I slowly sat up and clutched the two bloody holes in my chest. "T-Thank you..." I said softly, I looked up at the sky and shook my head. "This is a horrible mess... I'm so sorry... if it weren't for me... then none of this would have happened..." I said quietly, I leaned against a large rock that had been blasted near me and shut my eyes, losing consciousness once more.

Leon looked around and noticed David's decapitated head sitting nearby. "Hm... could remove the skull and go Shakespeare on him... or maybe stuff it and hang it over a fireplace." He thought rubbing his chin, he didn't get the katana, he lost his, and he didn't get anything out of this ordeal besides torn clothing and bruises. But of course there were a few issues with this... first, who would stuff a human head? Well anyone if you pay the right price, but he had tried his card earlier that day to learn that his cards wouldn't work on the island. Backwards ass island. So, he'd either have to find a morally questionable taxidermist and a fireplace in which to hang a head, and something to carry the head in... nah... too much hassle... ah... but to sit by a roaring fire and just enjoy the finer things in life...

My eyes flutter open at the sensation of a breeze all around the area. For some reason I felt like I was on the ground? I quickly sit up and look around at my surroundings. I was in a clearing...that looks like something just exploded in it. What was going on? As I glanced around the clearing to my horror I noticed other things scattered about. Gore and bits from some person. As I see a decapitated head not to far from Leon I cover my mouth. "David?...." I stand up and begin to take in the rest of the scene. Everyone looked like crap and some worse than others. Also a new face. Some girl I didn't know. But I looks over and see that Jinx and Joe were in terribly condition. "Oh god!....What the hell? What is going on?" I start to panic. Both of them seemed extremely terribly so I rush over to Joe first to check on him. He needed to go to a hospital right away as did most everyone else. I look to the strange girl who I didn't know. "...Um I don't know who you are. But please. Can you help me take them to a hospital? We have to go quickly or they might die!"

“That’s a surprisingly useful skill miss” said Eric still relying on a trunk to support his broken body.
“It can’t certainly fix a fake body like this. But it happens I need that kid working” said while pointing at Hikaru who despite being partially healed was still impaled and unconscious.

“I’m afraid to tell you this kids, but I’m currently being hired to get that book and is lost now. Moreover, a demon currently have it and trust me, they aren’t nice.” Said with a stoic expression on his face as if this matter weren’t to be really important for him.

“It also happens that if that demon goes wild it could ruin my business here in Gotham and I can allow such possibility when this establishment had turned into fruitful to earn money.” Continued.

“And a bunch of teenager’s amateurs may be actually useful to get rid of that demon, yet only partially, even with that I still offer you the chance to collaborate with me, I can provide you of magical weapons if needed for free only for this occasion” stated.

“I had just improvised a plan. To get rid of a demon we may actually use another demon, easier to contain, and I happen to know where is one in this island” finished.

    He turned and looked around.

"Let me add something, this place is burning, I would recommend you to get to a hospital the quickiest possible"

"Hey man..." Came Mikkish' voice. Avi's wind brought him back to consciousness. It was strange: wind that sealed up wounds and fixed bone fractures.

"Its not Gotham. Just Gotha. Gotham is from like...batman and stuff..." Mikkish took a look around the clearing, his head pounding still "Also...anyone wanna get out of here? Ya know...considering the FUCKING FOREST ALL AROUND US IS ON FIRE?"

And burn the forest around them did. THey were only safe for the moment in that clearing. Mikkish, not following his own advice, of course, rushed quickly over to Hikaru, who he saw was impaled but still kicking. "Oh shit." He said, beginning to slowly pull the wood out of her, whilst using what healing magic he knew on her at the same time "Hey mysterious yet conveniently random person who just walked over here, we need more wind." Mikkish said to Avi. Damn, that battle was epic.

Suddenly a gruff roar comes from one of the corpses and a large burly man filled with bullet holes, and a great shaggy beard looks up towards Eric, a deep Russian baritone roughly coming out of his mouth,"I don't care who the fuck you are, or what insidious thing you plan to use that book for. David was my friend and I am damn sure I am going to be one of the people to avenge him."

He cracked his neck and walked over to Jinx's body, lifting her up roughly and pulling the scarf away. He lifted her up, placing her in a cradle like position, before his body turned rigid, and Jinx's eyes popped open. Red blotches were edged around the corners as she spoke slowly, her head lolling to the side,"Postav'te sebya vmeste, i sleduy za Mnoyu Devid . YA nikogda ne tratit' khoroshiye chasti , i magiya po-prezhnemu rabotayet cherez eti veny vash."

Suddenly the bits and pieces of David's body rolled towards her, his eye blinking silently as he landed beside the giant corpses foot. Jinx slowly moved her hand down grabbing David's head and clutching it to her chest, with a slight grimace of pain. She sighed speaking towards the new girl, her russian accent making her tone almost indistinguishable,"I don't know who you are but thankyou for the healing. My name is Jinx. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Jinx looked like shit, her shoes were gone and her body was covered with open stitches and bruises. Her face was cut and her eyes were surrounded by large black shadows. She was in an intense amount of pain, but nothing compared to the depressing sadness she felt at Davids death. She didn't know him as well, but he helped her and seemed to be a generally kind person. She would miss him. A tear fell down one of her cheeks as she shut David's eyes. She whispered quietly to no one in particular,"Goodbye David.."

So many voices. All of them confusing. None of them belonged to the masters or the friends she knew. They spoke to her as if they expected her to help them. They who were invaders on her home. The audacity. She folded her wagasa and slammed the butt of the staff into the ground releasing a final, powerful wave of air magic, finalizing what she knew of the healing spell.
"I've saved you so you could answer me." Avi said in a powerful voice, thickly accented. "I am Avi Yama. 3rd mage under Master Horris, protector of the Island and its inhabitants. You will answer me clearly and honestly. Who are you, and how have you come to be on this island? Are you spies for the Dark Ones?"
