I'm quite lucky since there are 2 or 3 buses and 1 tram that I can take, so I essentially never need to wait longer than 5-6 minutes.
"William's penchant for entropy" is a great phrase! I'll add it to my arsenal, as well as to my curriculum vitae.
That Moment When...you wonder if you're strange for creating a document where your characters interact with each other and brainstorm on various things in their own story. I dunno, but it is helpful.
That moment when you suddenly realize that you don't have to describe every single detail of a character's movements.
TMW you realise your project is good. The subject is grim, but the work involved does, indeed, have merit...
TMW you realize that a fair number of skinny people who insult fat people will someday be fat themselves.
Yeah. They'll get what's coming to them. Kind of likewise, it always bothers me when I see young guys with shaved heads, or very short hair. Don't they realize that before they know it, they'll be going bald anyway (at least some of them will)? Grow your hair while you've got it, guys! Don't age yourselves before nature does it for you!
I like my hair medium long. Not too long though, or I look like I've been brought out of the jungles.
Well, yeah, unless ... I can grow hair if I want to, but it ends up as a Jud Heathcote/Gene Keady Level 5 comb-over. Trust me, I look better bald.
That might just mean you need more practice...or are underestimating your work. It's usually said about inventors, but with any creative art the craft it's 10% Inspiration and 90% Perspiration.
That moment... ...when your weakest character reminds you that she can be a total bada-s. (I was brain-storming a futuristic return of the military draft, including women, and came up with a scene where my girly-girl shrinking-violet character got her draft card and started having nightmares about going to war...which I would have expected. What I wasn't expecting was for her to solve the problem by marching down to the recruiting office and volunteering for the Marines as way of taking control of her fears - while the stronger characters sit on their hands).
TMW you realize that tea is far superior to energy drinks and Vivarin as a source of caffeine. Less is more.
That Moment When: You realise that going back and writing out a project long hand is actually helpful, not just weird and seemingly counterproductive. I've never done this with my poetry before and the results have been lovely. Prior to this all of my poetry has been strictly digital. My grandmother taught me how to do copperplate and the combination of the verses and the cursive really brings the pieces to life. It has helped me to focus in a way, I haven't done in a long time.
That moment when you spend a full hour helping your mother install an app (that I made myself) on her phone, and by the time you hang up the app still isn't installed... (Sometimes I hate Android... Why do things never work as they should?)
TNW you find yourself woolgathering as to what life must be like for a giant amazonian river otter who happens to be gay.
That moment when you learn that someone on another forum is bigoted toward women, stating that basically 'all women are emotional, it's a fact. They're emotional because they're women.' and acting like everyone else are being babies and 'PC'. In a thread that discusses Padme Amidala. In a forum dedicated to the Star Wars series. He even went on to say that 'Asians are small, and black people have large dicks, that's reality.' He even uses Daily Mail as his source to back up his claim. Guess it just proves that no matter where you go, online or in the real world, there are stupid bigots. In fact, this kinda pisses me off. Mind if I put it in the 'Not Happy' thread?
That moment you've just fixed dinner, but you're too tired to eat. So you just go to bed and sleep for almost 10 hours. I woke up so hungry this morning. Case in point, my brother. Granted, he got back to lean after he realized he was developing a pouch, but I did poke fun at him a little bit before that. I'm expecting he'll be poking fun at me if I decide to get pregnant some day.
Sounds like a troll to me! That moment when you realize you only have 3 relaxed minutes before you're going to pick up your pupils for class...
TMW you only have a little tiny drop of Native American blood but it still affects your appearance enough to make people think you look Asian.
Having really dark-brown hair and blue eyes seems to confuse some people in this regard. TMW you go from simple browsing to keep up with the guitar industry to spotting a guitar that looks like it was designed/built specifically for you to having serious GAS and no money to quench it with... again.
