No, no I can't. No more than ten hours into my self-imposed exile, I began to suffer severe case of writingforums.org withdrawal. I've gotten some of the stuff done quicker than I had expected, which is good. I'll be off and on, though still, but I guess I don't have to exile myself for a week like I thought I had to.

Just came back from an intense period of studying, it's not yet over but I think I will be able to spend a bit more time around here! It's good to be back.

    I'm...uh...back? I guess?

I don't know if there's even anyone left here who remembers me.

The last time I posted here with any regularity was...early 2010 I think? I've checked in a couple times since then.

Lydia, you gorgeous creature you! How are you?

Good! Graduating in exactly a week, and already a job interview on Monday, so things are looking sunny. :) How about you?

Oh wow, that's great! Congratulations! What kind of job are you interviewing for? I have no doubt you'll wow them.

I'm good! Living by myself. Landed my...well, not my dream job, but the job I wanted that lets me use my English degree.

This place has been on my mind lately, so I wanted to come back and see what was up and who was still here! Been talking to Rob (Lavarian) recently, and we were reminiscing a bit about the old days here.

Yeah I'm pretty excited about it! Well I'm graduating as a primary school teacher, so that's also what the interview's for. I haven't gotten any further details (like what grade, hours, etc.), because the guy technically wasn't even allowed to tell me he was interested in hiring, but I'll find out on Monday.

So what job's that? If I remember correctly, you used to work in retail, right? But yeah, it's pretty cool you actually get to use what you studied for!

Yeah, I haven't been back too long myself, even though I used to pop in once in a while. It's nice to see some of the older members have returned!

    Hi thirdwind!

Oh that's right, I remember that's what you wanted to do! I know you'll be great at it. Best of luck!

I've been working for a television shopping channel since 2007, mostly doing retail (good memory!) and I'm still with them, but now I'm writing product copy for on-air and on our website. Right now I just write jewelry for them, which is pretty fun. Will probably expand to other departments later this year. (I know, it's a really boring job, but I'm okay with boring at this point in my life!)

Who else is still here? I saw that Wrey is still around! I missed both of you guys!

You! Still living it up in PR with your man? How on earth to you find the time to be so awesome and still moderate this place?

I took a little sabbatical myself from the forum for about a year and a half. I'm semi-retired now. The work I do is as an independent contractor so my time is my own to meter out. :bigwink: Yep, still in PR (doubt I'll ever leave) and William and I celebrated 8 years together this past April.
Someone go dig up @Lavarian and @ChimmyBear and we'll have a proper old-timers party. [IMG]

Doesn't sound too boring though! Most important thing is that you enjoy what you do. :)

Yeah there's not too many oldies around, but a couple still lurk I think.

Congrats on your anniversary! That's so great. :)

There's tagging now? And a bookstore? Man, things really have changed since I've been here! I'll see if I can bully Rob into making an appearance.

Thanks. :) Yeah, there's tagging, there's contest winner medals, there's a bookstore, (I even talked Daniel into adding Erotica as a subforum) and we're still hammering away at other ideas. Daniel made me an admin a while back so a lot of the technical parts of making those kinds of things happen, I can now do them. ;)
