These sound really interesting! Looks like a promising semester. I hope you get the job. Fingers crossed! And if not, at least you gave it your best shot, right? I'm happy for a small, shallow reason, but so what! My lovely co-worker (a 50-something lady) said I had looked really cute in this short-ish pleated skirt I wore yesterday. I guess confidence-boosts like that won't hurt every now and then.
My cousin has just published his first collection of poetry! It's called Observing The Storm from a Barstool by Luke Timms.
For the first time in like 6 months I've taken my bike out of storage. And, oh, how good it feels to pedal away and feel the air rush past your face!
I took a day off tomorrow, I think I actually be able to handle the predicament I'm in, the sun is starting to shine through, and I am gonna enjoy watching the Doors live tomorrow evening. 'Land Ho!!!'
Somehow, I got a passing thought, I know not from where, that this poetry may based on the musings of one Lord Lemex....
Clock has been ticking for the last day and a half! Time to put the tools away and begin the work of adjusting the damn thing.
I'm happy because I just got out of a 2 hour exam on toolmark evidence and volume crime and second year at university is finally complete!
I'm excited because I'm at the final round of the job searching. If I make it, I just might have a job. If not, well, at least I'll have the experience. @Jack Asher - That sounds great! Sounds like a hobby I'd get into as well, tinkering with clocks.
For the first time in 10 months, I'm able to have a break. 10 days off work, where I can relax and unwind, without worrying about the election or an essay I need to write, or thinking I have to go somewhere. And I'm going to write a short story and train, and that's it. Bliss.
Just got a card, a short story, and box of chocolates from my students to say goodbye and thank you for being a great teacher. I'm really touched. ^.^ And my contract has been extended! So instead of leaving today, I have a week off!
A card, a short story, a box of chocolates...and 8 likes on this forum (and counting)...I wish I had a job in education (Sad face) Seriously, I'm content with what I've got, and...way to go, Lemex!
