TMW someone finally gives a TMW that is applicable to more than just that one person, which is what TMW was originally intended for.
TMW you suddenly realize that you're not sure if @Lewdog's username is pronounced Lew-dog or Lewd-og (original gangster?).
I haven't written a damn thing in days because of this bloody humidity. Feel so lethargic and unmotivated.
TMW your extended family member who you barely know from Adam asks if they can stay at your place on their way out of the country, and if you can drop them off at the airport for their early flight in the morning. Am I the only one who has trouble saying 'no' to family, even second cousins who you don't even like? Ugh. Why do I have to live 15 minutes from a major airport?
It's a pretty much lose lose situation once someone asks you. See, I can't help but think you're petty now for complaining (you're not), and if you said "no," I couldn't help but think you're rude(you're not). If you say yes, an don't complain, you're fine and the guy is rude, but you have to be inconvenienced. It's a lose lose.
I haven't shown it to anyone else, so "not even" doesn't apply here. I did consider using that phrasing, but thought it might mislead my audience. Dear diary: Hope wanes, but isn't entirely lost. The night is cold and black, but I've not exhausted every resource. There's still the rewarding affections of the cat to consider, and dammit if I'm going to give up now!
TMW... In the Bethesda forums you go to, certain people in the Fallout section keep having heated discussions about 'player representation' and you, the token hearing-impaired guy, thinks, ‘Um, as the token disabled guy here, am I the weird one for not really caring about the fact that I'm once again playing a non-disabled main character? By y'all's logic, I should be heavily offended because I'm not 'represented' by a chunk of digital coding that's shoe-horned to be disabled, but...I'm not. ’ Same is true in the Zelda forums when people complain about Link being right-handed. I mean, OK? What's the point? Representation is good and all, but I'm not gonna start crying because I'm once again playing a Link that isn't 95% deaf or missing an eye. There's a point where the creators have to draw the line and say, “This is what the story is about, these are the characters, deal with it.” I mean, it'd be nice to have a disabled main character/character in a video game that didn't feel shoe-horned in, or existed as mere cosmetics but I'm not going to pitch a hissy fit like those certain people in the Fallout and Zelda forums. o___O Gamers. They'll whine about anything and how do I know this? Because I'm a gamer and have at least 17+ years of experience on gaming forums to know.
Take courage. In my experience, it's the family members that are the most brutal. People that know you well sometimes aren't the best audience.
They were complaining that he was right handed in Skyward Sword or something? Link is usually left handed, but sometimes alternates. Most concept art depicts him as left-handed (sword in left hand, shield in right). I believe Skyward Sword was the first Zelda game to make him right-handed including the concept art. But anyway, I'm not sure it matters- Most Zelda games feature a different person who takes on the role of the Hero of Time anyway.
TMW you realize it's utterly impossible to read anything said by Samuel L. Jackson and not hear the voice of Jules in your head.
That moment when you realize you just did something from your book ... and you call it 'research' ...
