Colorado has probably been a bit better. Everyone in Boulder has been really positive about the whole thing.

    I wish I lived in Colorado. :(

Our current governor went into full-on dramatics earlier, and our former governor followed suit shortly after. Then the Attorney General tried to make judges delay issuing licenses (thankfully they were like, "uh. no.") But then this happened:

Just out of curiosity: who is weirder, Alabama or Texas? I've always thought my state was the weirdest of the South.

Does mississippi count as weird? Is 50th in every rubric "weird"?

Its weird in its name. I mean, who would call a state 'Mississippi'? :p :D

To my eyes, not as bad as Massac... Massaschusetts... Massachusetts. I mean, it's not Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch or Äteritsiputeritsipuolilautatsijänkä (totally copy-pasted those), but it still looks unnecessarily complicated!

It's like a gay pride parade but without the high concentration of gay people.

If only we could all be amiable, the world would be a better place

Oh, that was a close one tonight! Two boy racers coming down our road and uncle Tel waves at them to slow down. If they'd have stopped and gotten out, it would have been messy.

You don't want to cross uncle Tel!

Is it Dalai lama or Dalai llama and do llamas come from the same place that dalai lame comes from? Now I think about it - to be a dalai lama, do you have to have been a llama in a previous life? Previous lives do feature in that religion don't they? Anyway he must have had a big audience at Glastonbury today because he was followed by Lionel Ritchie who had 100,000. Can't say I know any number by the Dalai Lama. Is it capitalised? Do you think he sang dancing on the ceiling?

Ugh, when I see "headlines" worded that way I become uncomfortable.

It's hot in here. So hot. Very hot. I slept alright, but I can't seem to wake up properly. Today is going to be a looong day.

This rearrangement of all the subforums on the home page is throwing me off big time. The feng shui is all off.

I usually roll my eyes when a sporting event is described as 'epic', but the World Cup Final on Sunday might just be. Can't wait.

I finally tried the Swedish meatballs at Ikea and I have to say, they're over-rated. I guess for most people they're on a high from buying pretty furniture and maybe nostalgic for something that resembles the school cafeteria experience? Well, at least I know now. :p

Have you been through Ikea? It's not just a shopping trip. It's a quest through showrooms, bulk stacks and hanging mazes of rugs and curtains. If you don't take a lunch break, you'll never survive it.

Hey all. Just pre-ordered Fallout 4 for the X-Box One. Now all I need to do is wait for November 10th.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to finish the first draft of a novel in five months? ;) :D

    5,000 words a week X 4 weeks in a month X 5 = 100,000 words

F'sho! I didn't spend ten years as a retail wage slave for nothing.

It definitely is! Just got to set yourself a daily or weekly word quota and stick to it.
