So. I am bouncing madly with excited energy right now.

I have come to the realisation that I can write 2 novels based on existing knowledge - one pro sport and one cyberpunk. The human element vs the tech element. Allowing me to focus on one or the other. Then when I come back to write my sci fi main goal project, I will have experience in those two spheres and be able to draw on that experience in the blending that will need to occur. Plus the experience of writing a couple of novels, editing, beta readers, critique, cover art, etc, etc, yadda yadda.

Ok that doesn't even make sense to me, but this simple realisation has boosted my motivational energy tremendously.

Now to work out some story lines.

I've not had that in *counts on fingers* 21 years. And even if I had, why the heck would I advertise it on a public forum?

I can almost see you doing Peanut's Blue Prius action to that *whoosh* sound.

If you watch Jeff Dunham, you'll get that one.

It was a joke. Sorry if I frightened or offended you. It would take more than my fingers to count the number of members here who have 'advertised' their familiarity with controlled substances in the forum.

2012 Dodge Avenger was having trouble. I had to replace the alternator a couple of weeks ago, and this week it was started to show other problems relating to the starter.

I went to the VW dealer here and got more in trade value than I expected and was able to trade it in on a lease for a 2015 Jetta TDI. So, now I'm happy.

I've owned two Jettas (one a 1983, the other a 1989) and I loved both of them. Very well-made a reliable cars, good performance, comfortable, great trunk space. I like Jettas.

Right now I drive a Nissan Altima and it's great, too.

Never had a Jetta before this. I've had a BMW and a Volvo, both of which I put a large number of miles on before getting rid of them. With the diesel engine in this Jetta I figure I'll get a lot of miles out of it as well.

    Altimas are nice cars :)

Altimas are nice because they have a huge amount of interior room and great low-end torque! I have the 2.5 L engine (the smaller version - they offer a 3.5 too) but it's still really easy to burn rubber when the light turns green. :)

I've never driven a Volvo, but my father drove BMWs all the time - 733i and 735i sedans. I drove those a lot, and I loved them! Too expensive for me, though.

    I had a 1995 525i. Put 280K miles on it.

My Volvo had 380K miles on it when the odometer stopped working, and I probably drove it for another year before the turbo went out and it wasn't worth fixing.

I drive the Jetta's poor bastard cousin - Skoda Octavia TDI. It's brilliant. I'm a "drive it till it dies" person too, so am hoping to get many more adventures in this one.

Watched the Blue Angels fly by my living room window just now. :)

They used to fly closer, right past the window, but years ago their safety rules changed. Still, it's fun to see them doing acrobats from the comfort of my air conditioned house.

    Looks like this now:

Used to look like this except there would be two, one following right behind the other:

Got a deal on some shoes and the cashier even threw a freebie in. Considering how much I hate shopping and how bad I am at it, I am very pleased. :)

Very pleased to confirm stretching my hamstrings has released the calf muscle, removing all signs of discomfort.

    Phew!
