One of my "friends" told everyone the boy I liked. I don't mean "it slipped out to another friend, I mean, she screamed it down the hallway. She told the boy I liked him, lied to me that he said I was "creepy and desperate", watched as I confronted him (he thought I was crazy) and did nothing to stop me, and every time she saw us together would make a remark, try to push me into him, and tell him "oh, she likes you", despite me AND another friend telling her not to. This wasn't because she liked him or anything. And I was still friends with her. She went ga-ga over the girl who was really rude to me (and I told her this), telling me how awesome she was and how they texted all the time (despite the fact this "friend" never NEVER texts.) She'd dump me to be with her at social events, and eventually started flaking on plans we had made because the other girl wanted her to. yeah. This happened over the course of....a year? I'm not really friends with her anymore, and I honestly don't think she can ever make up some of the stuff she did and said. It's not dramatic or anything, just something that happened to me that maybe you can run with.
Lol. Well idk if it helps but in a short story I wrote a while ago my MC's best friend shoots him in the leg to save his own ass from a monster.
I thought maybe divulging a secret would be the easiest route to go. I also thought about if Jasie starting to date Mia's brother (Mia's older brother Mark who's a year ahead of them in school and Jasie's had a secret crush on since the 7th grade).
