yesterday we celebrated becoming real authors of an ebook so we went on a little road trip through the South Louisiana country side. We took a country road through the swampy area around lake Pontchartrain checking out a potential camping spot for the fall. While laughing and singing and having a good ole fashioned road trip we stopped at a lil mom and pop and bought us some hot tamales and I got a qt of beer to wash mine down with (Peg was driving) May not seem like much of a purchase but they were a real spicy treat and the whole trip was a much needed break from the whole publishing thing. We feel better and are plotting some kind of lil vacation before we dive in to writing again. :)

An injection of atropine, an injection of penicillin, an injection of some kind of pain killer, and a 28-count pack of 250 mg Cephalexin for my dog who decided that a red ant pile would a great place to take a crap. :bigfrown:

I had a glass of milk post-general anaesthetic once. I can assure you milk is not thirst quenching.

Does the job for me, mucka!

A cheap, Zippo-style lighter. I don't even smoke, but I think they're iconic and lovely to play with when searching for inspiration.

Not counting food and drink, I think the most recent thing I bought was an Amazon Echo unit and associated hardware (WiFi, etc.). I'm getting used to it. Now, when I have a question about, say, the melting point of lead, I just say, "Alexa! What's the melting point of lead?" and she tells me. If I want to know the distance from Moscow to Sydney, I just ask her and she tells me. If I want to know the weather in Cape Town, she tells me. If I want to hear "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas, she plays it for me (and her speakers are pretty good!). The Echo is a pretty cool piece of tech. :)

I drink more milk than you, so trust me, it's not a dislike for milk that disagrees that it's thirst quenching ;)
