I tried everything. That jar was a big pile of nope. What finally got it was bashing the lid at 45° against the counter.
That moment you realize you're having impure thoughts about @Chinspinner 's avatar. Oh man, I need help. Or just a take-out order of chicken, or a girlfriend, or less alcohol, something....
So when can we expect your biographical romance of your love affair with a cooked chicken in a bikini? Roasted Love: The Brianlff Story.
<raises hand> Yeah, I'm not writing about any of them. Sure there's action, but there's no torture and definitely, by the Gods, no rape. Of course, TMW you realize those same stories also aren't exactly raising the bar of literary quality and defining the genres they're in.
Hmmmmm on the subject of violence. I'd say it varies with me, if that makes sense? Of course I haven't written everything I want to yet and like everyone else I'm sure we get new ideas everyday. So there is certainly a lot of stuff in my head that I want are non violent and more coming of age or just about growing up (big part of my writing of course just comes from hanging with my friends) I'm a big fan of humor. Oh also I'd love to do some just random off the wall children's work. You can totally get great character development without writing violence. Very much love character interaction no matter writing project. But on the flipside I've got one vicious darkside with writing and when it comes out to play (like in my short crime stories and some of the darker fantasy ideas I got) well.....then I can't be held responsible for what character might be maimed, killed, shot, tortured, beaten and possibly burned alive (Havent done that yet actually XD) to advance plot and character development. Because it is not me but my evil counterpart TypeKing. He's like me but with a goatee.
TMW your entire marching band and the band from the other school start a huge huddle for warmth on the side of the field.
TMW you realize that we'd probably be better off if people averaged together the amount of respect they show for individuals with opposing religious (too much) and political beliefs (not enough) and applied it to ideological competitors across-the-board.
You think people show too much respect to people with opposing religious beliefs? Interesting. That's not the impression I get from this vantage point.
That moment when you've been mulling for days on how to reveal two new characters' names, and then they finally just blurt them out for you.
TMW you find yourself saying "That moment..." whenever something strange happens. TMW you have a dream of Snape disguising himself as an old woman and surprisingly, he pulls it off well.
This somehow makes perfect sense... Perhaps all this was a disguise to throw everyone off, only it worked too well.
TMW you rescue a character from the bowels of hell that was your old writing because you love them, dammit, and they will be important. Somehow.
I did the same with some of my characters. One of whom had been languishing in my older writing for a decade before I found the perfect place for him.
TMW your first article to the Her Campus webzine is ready for publication. This is something I could discuss in depth as I'm certainly one of those people who veer towards darker subjects in their writing. Made me wonder if American Psycho would constitute as failure to you, but, alas, this isn't the thread for that discussion.
TMW you want badly to reply to two posts on this page, but you accept the fact that the thread isn't about religious political correctness or about violence porn.
TMW it finally sinks in that you've actually started your degree... i miss home like crazy, but at the same time i love my degree....
TMW you research into a medical quandary you've had burning in your brain for nearly a decade and you walk out of it feeling half-disturbed and half-pitying/having sympathy for the people who have that medical condition.
