    Some other random ones:

Talia- "Involuntarily put the man who's been helping you with the crazed superpowered killer who hates him? No, I see no problem with this plan at all."

Dale- "Emotion can be fucked up, but not always."

    And here's a text one.

Lord Etho was waiting inside, smiling to himself. That smile he’d given Ikarun before. The one that had made him feel things. Lord Etho turned to him with that smile and and Ikarun felt things again. He was frightened. What was happening to him?

So I have this character who is sarcastic, and sardonic to the very end, even when she is facing death she always has a remark to say. Post apocalyptic, very dark novel:
Main character is forced to work with someone who killed her best friend, because the only way the two of them are going to get out alive is with their combined tactics, and him being a better combatant than her. The antagonist doesn't know the protagonist has figured out he was the cause of her friends death. Though, earlier, they did also try to kill one another unsuccessfully and were brought together by random chance for a second time.

Copy and paste from the story, right after they get through it:

"So, I suppose I'm glad I didn't kill you and take you sh**," He faced the fires and smoke behind us, a cigar between his lips, lit with an ember from the ground. "You won't kill me, like you said earlier..." He inhaled deeply, we all need one last luxury before we die, don't we?

"Perhaps... If only I hadn't just used you like a condom," I shot him in the back of the head. "Now you're broken and useless, though,"

I like the "we all need one last luxury before we die, don't we?" bit. It feels the most meaningful and sounds really good.

Well, you have to read it in context so either this bit of dialog:
Or this one, between the same two characters:
For context Agatha is an anti-terrorist vigilante (and the estranged daughter of their Osama Bin Laden equivalent) and Scree is her police-mandated psychiatrist.

Mitch while making an observation about Brianna's troubled childhood:
"You needed more Taylor Swift in your life and less Joan Jett."

"I hate Taylor Swift," Brianna replied.

"No you don't. You hate her music because you can't relate to it."

“You’re too damn much like your mother!” Rob exclaimed, half in awe, half in dismay. “You scare me half to death—”
“Wal...a healthy sense of fear ain’t a bad start to a marriage,” Caroline said.

(She's not my main character, but she's a lot of fun to write.)

Amber Wasp, the six-limbed MC from Volume 2 meets the Stormbringer, the MC from Volume 1:

    “So, what’s with the blindfold?”
“It’s a computerised mask. What’s with the four arms?”
“I’ve been working out!” said the Amber Wasp with a smile.

This is more of a secondary character with an MC, takes place on an installation on Pluto.

“You two, looking for a fight are you” ,the instructor hollers at us.
“No sergeant, we are here for ballet class” ,Rhino bellows back at him. I snicker at his response, as the drill sergeants face turns deep red.

This is just a little bit later in the same scene.
Rhino says to me, “Shall we dance, Captain.”

Gina quirked another smile, “So you’re asking if I, as the President’s lackey can muscle through the other government lackeys? Would you like me to send that information to your own lackey or do you only have henchmen?”

In a WiP, there's a major character I'm writing, a German Holocaust survivor whose personality and manner of speaking is just so hilariously blunt, crass, vulgar, and sarcastic. He's been living in the US for a few decades up to this point of the story and he's got...a few interesting things to say to my poor main characters regarding his observation on the US culture. :p

Here's an example of the sort of things he says:

“Oh God, that says it all!!” Oscar wailed in desperation. “The overly-sensitive, entitled, self-important type, I wager? The sort who feels the world owes them something and will cry, pout and stamp their feet if they don't get their way? Make everyone else feel like horrible little shits?”
Kevin blinked. “Uh...when you put it that way...”
“No wonder America's going down the toilet what with half the country saying we should all walk on eggshells. Now, mind, there are things you should be sensitive about -- for instance I'll clock you across the head if you crack Holocaust jokes around me, but for God's sake, not everything said or done has a sinister agenda behind it! A little fucking common sense goes a long way, I assure you.”
Kevin felt his face split into a grin. Five minutes inside and the initial panic had dissipated immediately.

He's... Everything he says is a favorite quote. :p I'm sorely tempted to make him the major protagonist instead. :D

The villain, mob boss, talking to his henchman about a cop who did an interview about him.

"You see in this world, Vinnie, nobody gives a shit what you do for them--They don't care how many lives I've saved, only how bitter the pill is. I create jobs for people. I give them means to feed their families. Society shuns them and I give them the American dream, what could be better than that? Vinnie, these cops don't give a shit about saving lives, they only cares about ruining ours."

"What's this button do?" I ask as I press the biggest, reddest round button on the panel.
"No! That's the Elf Destruct System!" yells the Ael chief, who leans forward to stop me.
A red light flashes on the wall as the hundreds of usually calm elves lift their arms into the air and begin to run around in a panic.
    "Don't you mean, 'Self Destruct'?"
"That's a silly idea. Why would we have one of those?" wonders the Ael leader before he stands up on his flabby legs; it looks like he hasn't used them for years.

It's not in a WIP, but I was lecturing a friend on life, and a great one liner came to me. I'll have to incorporate it into a work, somewhere, though!

From a short story of mine...

From a cop said to a suspect, just before the phonebooks and rubber hoses come out.

You know what we've been doing wrong, George? We've been asking all the wrong questions. If you want the right answers you have to ask the right questions George.
Well I'm getting tired of asking questions George, it's time for some f****** answers!
