    Build a firewall

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by halisme, May 25, 2016.

As a proud Not-Bear member of this forum, I feel like its my job to speak harsh truths. I'm not new-memberist, I think new members are great people. But they keep on coming here, making wittier response than me, writing our romance novels, being productive members of the community. So I'd like to announce I'm running for president of the internet! With this new power, a firewall will be erected between writing forums and the rest of the internet. Together, we can make Writing Forums Great again.

    • Force Cave Troll to go back to disturbing Profile Pictures
    • Have Oscar Leigh prove he's Australian by making him drink twenty five pints of beer before boxing a kangaroo
    • Force halisme to do some actually writing instead of making political jokes
    • Give urban and dark fantasy their own forum, allowing the genres to be equal, but separate.
If you have any other suggestions, please post them in the comments below

Well I support your position on my love of disturbing things, sometimes a guy needs something easy on the eyes.

We need a better screening process.

When the internet sends their people here, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.

And some, I assume, are good people.

That's your search history talking, not the forum. :p

My search history & the forum are seporate, but equal. Search histories & form activites must be relegated to different parts of my computer. Oh, and the search histories have to sit in the back of the internet & they can't have cookies.

Search histories dictate the ads you see in the forum, not the forum itself.

If you have a different arrangement, feel free to share. :)

I like pictures that are easier on the eye. Some of my best friends are pictures that are easy on the eye. But when they cross the boarder and get upload, the image quality might go down. Can we really trust a horribly pixelated image to represent us?

-We need to make it easier to delete incriminating messages

I have some seriously dirty sexting type messages on here i might have to get rid of someday
okay, i don't have any yet, but i have some in the works
Okay, okay, I have nothing going on...

Seriously though, why isn't anyone sending me potentially incriminating messages?

You know that as long as it is not an OP, there is a Edit, Delete, Report, under each posting that you make. Click on the Delete and then give it a reason and hit enter. If done correctly the post should be deleted. This has been your guide from Cave Troll Technical Support, helping users figure out the mechanics of how to use this fine site.

I don't know if anyone else is running for president of the internet, but if find them, I shall have witty insults galore. Okay, how about we just have you punch a drop bear?

To find that no one has stepped up to combat such a menace pains me to such an extent that I must throw my hat in the ring. I Kinzvlle declare myself as a nominee for president of the internet, to combat the possbitly of a fascist Not Bear administration! How can we the people of this forum support someone who is consistently trying to convince us that he is not a bear which we all know he is. How can we support candidates who`s name is an anagram for hail me within itself.

How can I sit by, and watch as a candidate who has yet to commit on his known conversations with radical leader @Chained who is known to be part of a fringe anti @Wreybies movement. A candidate who will not disavow such a dangerous fringe element of society can only be assumed to conform to their radical views. While I respect @Oscar Leigh and would offer him a place in my administration due to my need for his supporters votes respect for his work as grand greater, I can not condone any attempt to overthrow Wrey due to the fact that I can`t afford to lose the traditionalist voters his immense experience and great performance as Op Pop.

Speaking of radical and fringe the very notion of this fire wall is insane. New members should be integrated into and made productive members of our society, rather than pushed out by a thin-skinned bear and bully who dislikes their witty remarks. Who would even pay for such a fire wall?

However, his most radical and dangerous police may not be his wall or his associates but his horrible treatment of the troll people. The Cave Troll race does not deserve the regime of a foreign Bear overlord nor does any race! Once I am in office, the Cave Troll people will be free just enough to vote me into a second term as all should be!

For these reasons, I cannot allow this bear of a candidate into the seat of power! I will oppose him and i`m sure the people of this forum will do the same.
