    What's a good antonym?

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by TyrannusRex, Jul 26, 2016.

Is there a sensible antonym to "star-crossed"? As in "star-crossed lovers"?
Instead of a relationship being doomed to fail, I'm picturing one that is meant to blossom after going through some tribulations. Sure, I could say that it "walked through the fire" or something like that, but I'd like an adjective that opposes star-crossed... destined? Who knows. Any help?

Destined works for me. Fated, meant to be, soul mates, or borrow from Vonnegut and call them a duprass.

gifted, privileged, favourable, auspicious, propitious, favoured, blessed, happy, fair, fortunate, promising, lucky, golden.

Destined, as @BayView says, is the obvious one.
