My genre is fantasy too plus sci-fi. I'm also toying with the idea of writing some historical fiction

 

Historical Fiction is pretty cool, @karldots92, but the problem I have with it, is in the story of one book about a war, you got to put so much in it and I think it detracts a bit from the overall fiction of it. Wbu?

 

I think the biggest problem I have is doing enough research to make it plausible. I'm a big fan of US history and the Civil War in particular so I've toyed with the idea of what if the Confederacy won? But I don't know if I know enough to start yet or where in history do I start?

 

Ohh I am such a hypocrite. I actually do like What If books!
