Thank you! It's actually a pretty awesome job. I've been in the field since my late teens and have loved the kind of exposure it brings to so many other fields. Everywhere there are two people who cannot speak because of a language barrier, there we are. I have interpreted for military big wigs from the US, the UK and the former Soviet Union. I've done court cases that have made national headlines. You don't see us or notice us because that is the interpreter's mantra and the core of our code of ethics: "I am not here. I am transparent."
