Beta for a 23,500 word novella?

Discussion in 'Collaboration' started by Simpson17866, Jan 3, 2017.

I'm not sure exactly how to categorize my story into a genre – "young adult horror" seems the closest, but it also feels more like a "story with young adult characters and horror elements" than like a "young adult horror story" – but it's basically about how a new girl's start at a new school goes horribly wrong.

Would anybody be interested? I'd be open for anything from a general overview to a line-by-line.

My perspective, out of touch and middle-aged, mightn't be helpful but my daughter said she'll be happy to comment in the general sense + poss a bit of depth. She's 19, topped her English classes and studied literature a couple of years, so I'm confident you'll get something to work with. Send me a msg @Simpson17866 if you'd like her to take a peek.

Sure, I like a good horror story. Would be more than happy to take a gander. :)

I don't normally read horror but I do occasionally read YA and can help out with a general overview. ;)

I'm happy to read if you still need people. :) I tend to leave comments throughout the document as they occur to me and then give a high level overview at the end.
