Hi, Writing is reading, and reading writing. As readers of poetry, we create and discover meaning, similar to the process of writing. It becomes personalized, and (like a conversation) it becomes just as much our poem as it is the poet's. That's kind of why I'm here. Reading, analyzing, and critiquing others' work is equally as important as writing in my development as a poet. I become exposed to various styles and discover what does/doesn't work. I'm also able to converse with fellow poets —both in receiving critique myself and in the exchange of ideas. This forum seems to be pretty active, which is a great sign. Anyways, I look forward to meeting you all and reading your work! - Rogo
