The most recent books Larry wrote with Edward Lerner are pretty good. I've listened to them all on audio, and they are more geared for a modern audience. 2007: Fleet of Worlds 2008: Juggler of Worlds 2009: Destroyer of Worlds 2010: Betrayer of Worlds
And it just keeps going... In Ringworld Throne, they run into another female character, Harkabeeparolyn, who, at one point in the story, corners Louis and in not so many words tells him, "Look, if you're not going bone me, I'm going to bone this 13 year-old boy over here (Kawaresksenjajok), because, as everyone knows, I live to make babies. Duh!" Louis is all, "He's not old enough." She's like, "Pfft! Wanna' bet?" Louis doesn't give in, and I guess that's Niven saying "See? I didn't Capt. Kirk her. I'm not a pig." (smh as I facepalm)
