Deftones fucking rocks. Had the fortune of seeing them live and they killed it!

Nobody pulls off the carnal vibe like these guys can, either.

Great band. "Saturday Night Wrist" and "Koi No Yokan" are my current favourites from their discography. I like "White Pony" as well, but I've listened to it a little too often. Haven't had the chance to check out "Gore" yet, is it worthwhile?

Here's what has consumed most of my listening time lately. Took these guys forever to come out with a new album, but despite how short it is and how many times I've heard it I'm always noticing something I didn't pick up on before.

Also this. Love the combination of melodic & brutal.

And this. I'm kind of torn on this one because some of her clean vocals get a bit too Sevendust-y for me, but she nails the growling.

I agree, I think SNW is their most underrated album, by far!

I'm fortunate to have gotten into bands like Deftones or even Linkin Park (the latter of which I've largely grown out of, but still jam to from time to time) when they had already changed their sound. So I get to see the best of both worlds, and admire how they've grown and transitioned.

Maybe I still need to give "Gore" a chance. People say that's the omen of a bad album, but I think some things truly do take time to grow on you, especially if it's something experimental from the norm. A friend of mine *loves* it, and he's a pretty big Deftones fan, so I'd give it a chance, it's a solid album. I'm sure you can find most of the tracks on YouTube or something.

White Pony and Around The Fur, for me, are Deftones' equivalent of Linkin Park's Meteora and Hybrid Theory. Absolute gems and truly groundbreaking, but like you said, I've listened to them too much-- and perhaps grown out of them, as well.

One of the most beautifully raw chorus lyrics I've ever heard. I actually enjoy all the lyrics but this chorus! It's like diving deep inside a protagonists soul.

This thread needs more weird stuff from the internet.
Also maybe more cowbell, but that'll come later.

Trust me, this is worth the watch.

Hollywood might try to ruin my childhood. But they can't ruin the original theme song to the Power Rangers. :p

I'm not sure if this is a metaphor for scientific change, or men/women coexisting / or even establishment vs new ideas, but what I do know is that it's pretty interesting.
