I'd vote for facial expressions. As for name suggestions, um, yeah I dunno.

Facial expressions could be cool. As for names I vote for Cecil, which actually comes from Latin for blind.

Cecil sounds like it fits him. And, I too vote for facial expressions. :)

Very nice! I love the rugged look you gave him. I have a project that's a bit like that old car in your garage that you keep tinkering with from time to time without ever really expecting to finish it that I took that description from, so I was curious what you'd make of it. I'm really impressed. Thank you again for doing this, it's really fun :)

Love it, you put a lot of character into your drawings. Love the rugged rough and tumble look. You had mentioned that I could write up a story around the last character that you drew. Been meaning to do that, maybe if I get around to that I could see about writing something up on Cecil.

Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad people like you are impressed with my art, I only wish I could work on it more, it's iffy when I have to do it in my spare time you know? Still, glad you liked him and if you do ever write about the characters we create in these games please share I'd love to read about them.

Figure drawing is really difficult; It's honestly impressive to be able to draw people doing anything at all. It's also frickin great that you were able to express his emotions with only his body language and his face (minus his eyes) like goddamn. It's so cool to see your suggestions taken into consideration and actually seen on paper via art. :) can't wait for the next game!

He looks cool! I think my favorite is the one where he's upside down. Looks so startled. XD

First things first, thank you everyone for your support! Your compliments and encouragement mean a lot to me.

I’m definitely going to keep playing this game for those who want to group create artwork with me. It’s been really interesting and it’s fun to create these characters with you.

OK so quick announcement; I’ve been asked about this by a few people now, so I’ve decided to make it a thing. I can do commissions for anyone who is interested, if you want me to draw one of your own characters just for you. :)

I’m not asking for a lot, I wouldn’t be asking for anything at all, but the support would really help me, as drawing does take up a lot of my spare time. But I’d love to help you create visuals of your character’s the way I do for my own.

This is an example I’ve been working on recently, it’s a character from a book I’m writing. I have made a blog post about this already, feel free to check it out https://www.writingforums.org/entry/character-art.63704/.

    remus character sheet.jpg

So if you wanted your own custom character sheet like this all you have to do is send me a personal message on the forum. If you just want a headshot of your character instead I can do that too.

Headshots would only be £5. I can do headshots, uncoloured sketches, a full body with any pose of your choice, or I can do a character sheet like the above. Honestly, I wouldn’t ask at all but I could really use the support!

OK so moving onto the game now!!! :) The same rules apply for this round; if you want to play just give me one line of description for a character, and once I have enough to work with I'll stop the game and draw what you've all created.

I'll start; her hair was thick and all the colours of the rainbow.

So I have two sketches to be made (paper or software).
First: This man with a beard (a fist long), and a monocle. Please keep his fez (hat). If you could make him a little younger.
Second: This man. Without the horse.
Please don't fill in colour, as it should look like a Sherlock Holmes illustration.

I know its an old thread - but soliciting commissions for which you intend to charge is against the rules
