I'm currently listening to the album "Hours" by David Bowie. It's been my favourite album for the past year or so. There's something really special and deep about it. Every time I listen to it I feel profoundly moved by it. Every time it feels fresh and new. There's something so special about it.
I know it's a typical thing, old farts and their classical musak, but I bought this one, on record on-line, and it took me over yesterday, I am still hysterical. I don't really know the story - but Bach re-interpreted in the 1950s sounds so lovely on vinyl, [this is the closest I could find] some of the more complex piano, breath-taking in the Goldberg Variations as played by Gould:
I'm a musical featherweight - but if I may be - soppy a while - really took to Bach. I'll be over it tomorrow
and, I'm unsure if Moonlight Sonata belongs here or in the other "Saddest Song" thread, particularly given the poor fucker was deaf when he wrote it... but prepare to feel...
I love this series. Not music really, they strip the audio and foley in the sounds apparent on the screen. One of my favorites: edited: wrong version
Had this stuck in my head all week... even after I watched the movie again. "The guy sure looks like plant food to me!!"
