      Thanks, Cogito!

I’m really excited to have won, especially after reading the competition and knowing I was up against some fantastic stories. I think everyone is a winner though, because now we all have one more story to share with the world.

A special thanks to Daniel for hosting this awesome contest. Without competitions like this, we starving writers would be faced with high entry fees. So I admire the fact that Daniel provided everything for our benefit.

Also, many thanks to those who voted for my entry. I love entertaining people through my writing, and to see it working makes me really, really happy!

      Best,
      C. P.

I just read the story, after I looked to the right of the forum. I was hooked as soon as I started reading, truly! Congratulations casperpearl! It was a very interesting and good read!

I enjoyed your story, casperpearl. Unfortunately, I don't think I was able to vote (or perhaps couldn't figure out how it was supposed to work), but I would have voted for yours. Congratulations. I hope to read many more of your pieces in the future here.

I am new to writing and, sadly, relatively new to reading books. I blame movies and video games for distracting me thus far. And I blame my teachers for making me ridiculously neurotic about single spaces after periods. Please take my comments with a grain of salt, since I am not a published author.

That's because the contest was over months before you joined.
