      Rin'ov Dulezz Discussion

Welcome to the Rin'ov Dulezz Discussion Thread! Sorry for the delay but there was difficulties. Now the Games con really begin!

      Name: Arriana

      Age: Unknown

      Gender: Female

      Race: Drow

Appearance: Arriana is Drow. Her skin is a dark blue and her hair snow white. Her eyes are blood-red and she is considered a vision to most males. She is also very muscular but yet lithe as a dancer. Due to her ethereal state, Arriana is also slightly transparent and can disappear in a wisp. She appears to be dressed in dark purple robes slpit up the legs with black shoulder, chest, and leg armor. She has her hair tied back with a single strip of black leather.

Personality: Arriana is a very powerful Spellsword and spirit. She tends to be brooding, and very distrustful of anything she meets. Due to her ethereal state she also pines the fact that she no longer has a body to herself. Her spirit wanders the halls of the Labyrinth but always returns to the Node to rest within her Bound sword, Blade of Dero'lyle. She waits for a champion to free her sword from the Node and allow her to share their body so long as they posses the sword.

History: Arriana entered the labyrinth thousands of years ago as a cocky and powerful Drow Spellsword. She was drawn by the power of the Node and sought to make it her own. Consumed by lust for power she built powerful traps and spells all over the Labyrinth to protect the Node and herself. She then commenced on seeking immortality. She found a way to bind herself to her sword and succeeded in doing so with the power of the Node. Not understanding exactly what she was getting into she reveled in the fact that she will never die. At least, in a way. Over time her body grew old and died, and her spirit became forever bound to the sword and she was doomed to wander the world as a spirit until a champion will take up the sword and accept her spirit as their constant companion.

Powers/Equipment: Arriana, as a spirit, has the ability to travel as a wisp of ethereal smoke and to move through solid surfaces. Through intense concentration she can make herself solid enough to touch things and fight should the need become necessary. She also has the power of Possession. When someone holds her sword she can inhabit his body and take him over, he can re-possess his body when she relinquishes it, if he fights her back, or if he no longer has possession of the sword. She also has the ability to use magic. Besides her armor and her sword, Arriana has no need of anything else.

Motive for Entering the Labyrinth: She was Drawn by the power of the Node

      Name: Esva Trizk
      Age: 230
      Gender: F
Appearance: Esva has darker blue skin, with long black hair. She is tall and slender, which makes her very fast and quick on her feet. Esva is attractive to look at, but anyone who looks her in the eyes can tell her body is misleading.
Personality: Esva is very manipulative, even for a Drow. She is constantly looking for ways to have people help her, only to get rid of them at the first convenience. She will use any means necessary to get help, even using her dark magic to seem like she is being attacked, a poor innocent victim to magic.
History: Esva comes from an underground group of Drow who learned of the Gnode, and decided to hold a tournament in order to decide who would go to the Labyrinth. Esva, a master manipulator, managed to get through the entire thing without fighting but the last Drow. The final Drow was too tired and was defeated easily. Now, Esva is proud to go into the Labyrinth to retrieve the Gnode for her colony.
Powers/Equipment: Esva has Dark powers, which she can use to manipulate shadows into dark beasts. She can collect shadows and use them as weapons, such as beams or energy balls. She can see very well in the dark, but has a bit more difficulty seeing in the light. She carries a sword which is completely black, a knife which is hidden on the inside of her robe, a bow, and a few arrows which she enchanted to return to her quiver after striking something.
Motive of Why She/He is Facing the Labyrinth: Her colony of Drow seek the Gnode to begin destroying other life forms. Esva won the tournament to decide who would go.

      Here's my character:

      Name: Urvolt

      Age: 176

      Gender: Male

Appearance: Urvolt is huge, even for a Minotaur. Not only is he tall, but he is very powerfully built as well. His fur is a brilliant dark-red colour, and his eyes are pitch-black. Urvolt harbours many scars from his past battles and experiences. He also wears thick, bone plate armour, which is dyed red to match his fur.

Personality: As his herd’s champion, Urvolt is aggressive and proud. He wears his pride like he wears his armour and it’s certainly not just for show. Urvolt is always itching for a good fight, and thoroughly enjoys a good challenge. His physical abilities are phenomenal, but his mental prowess is not to be underestimated. Unlike most of his kind, Urvolt is cunning and battle-smart, taking him a good step forwards in most situations. Alongside this, Urvolt has very strong concepts of honour.

History: Urvolt is named after the Minotaur deity of war. His herd is famous amongst many races for being at the front of the battle in any war-like situation, and coming out triumphant nearly every time. Since young age, Urvolt was selected to be the Champion of the herd, due to his size, power, and cunning. Ever since, Urvolt had led his herd into battles, continuing to bring honour and glory to his herd.

Powers/Equipment: Along with his thick armour, Urvolt usually wields a maul, which looks like an oversized sledgehammer with a spear-like spike on the fore-end of the haft. Even if he is disarmed, Urvolt has deadly horns which he can utilize, and has a devastating charge attack; anything in the way of his charge will be pulverised.

Motive: Due to his pride, as soon as Urvolt learned about the labyrinth and the Node, he vowed to his herd that he would enter and claim the Node for them.

      This should be fun.

      Name: Skip Lone

      Age: 27

      Gender: Male

Appearance: Skip is a light skinned human with dark hair and eyes. He is of average height and a lean build. He wears a dark cloak along with dark clothing underneath.

Personality: Skip Lone comes off as a care free and inconsiderate playboy with a one track mind. He is however more clever than he appears and uses that act to his advantage. He is obssessed with having the unobtainable. The more rare or unreachable an item is, the more he desires it.

History: Not much is known about Skip Lone's past. He is a theif that is wanted in several kingdoms for high profile theft, or all around disrespect to royal authority. He first appeared ten years ago which puts him at around seventeen years of age. He had stolen the crown of a petty tyrant of a northen land. At age ninenteen he tried to swipe the sword of an Elven prince but fell for a decoy. At age 21 he made off with an powerful merchant's treasure ship. When he was 22 he helped a runaway princess find her familly's lost treasure... and promply stole it. At age 24 he returned to the Elves and replaced the decoy sword that he had stolen five years prior for the real one. Stories such as these continue until the present day leaving a trail of sore feelings and wanted posters.

Powers/Equipment: Skip is very agile for a human and light footed to boot. Stealth accompanied by the occasional dodge and weave is the bread and butter of his theiving profession. He is also skilled with throwing knives, long knives, and ropes. With a proper rope, Skip can set traps, tie people up, and even make a grapple line by tieing a throwing knife to the end, to help him scale otherwise unclimbable surfaces. This rope knife combo can also serve as a weapon in desperate situations.

Motive of Why She/He is Facing the Labyrinth: Skip Lone is here mainly for the challenge. His goal is to obtain the weapon for no more reason than to possess it. He would put forth similar effort even if it was a rock in the middle.

Well, I had always imagined the labyrinth as a cave system, rather than a man-made (mer-made?) structure. Assuming that's the case, caves probably do in fact dip and rise with the terrain.

If I'm wrong, someone should correct me.

I'll leave the cave system up to you guys. I imagined it as multi-level, yes, with damp and dry, anchient civilizations and untouched. How the labyrinth comes about hough is up to you. You can even add a vegatative oasis if needed

      That's your cue naturemage.

You might want to try and pacify the huge angry Minotaur before he breaks things. Or fight him if you think Esva can.

Wow... um. Sorry to say this naturemage, but that was complete and utter violation of the "no control" rule.

Players may not take control of another player's character without the consent of the the other player. Team plays should be planned by PMing and then posting.
Tendrils around his horns are fine. Lifting him into the air and throwing him around are NOT fine. He wouldn't thrash about like that, he's not that stupid.

I hope you understand when I request that you remove or heavily modify your post.

As of now, after a little PMing, I think we may have gotten this violation of the rules to a better end. In the future, if one person if having problems with an action of another I would appreciate this line of action in able to get it cleared up more quickly and understandably:

The path to dealing with these things should be, 1) the offending player, 2) GM, 3) RPG Mods, 4) Forum Mods
      .

Thank you all, please keep the rules and the other players in mind before you post Good Luck
