20 Navy SEALS Team Six Members die in Helicopter crash

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Fullmetal Xeno, Aug 6, 2011.

So earlier this afternoon i got a notification on Facebook about a Tea Party Patriot post on Navy SEALS Team Six. 20 Members of Team Six died in a helicopter crash while being flown by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. A total of 37 were killed, including 17 killed Aviation members. I heard this was on Social Media before the Families knew about it. God bless our Troops, and their Families.

Apparently some of them were the same guys who killed Bin Laden.

So 37 people were killed? That sucks. But why only care about the 20 Navy seals?

God bless our troops who've fallen, are fighting, and their families through difficult times.

I care about all 37 deaths. Not one is unequal to the other.

Especially since they're fighting for our freedom, and to make sure we're not in danger in any way.

Don't worry, I understand. I'm just wondering why the title say 20 people died, when the real number is 37?

No offense, but who can possibly be a threat to you?

This is a sad day for the SEAL family as a unit. It is so incredibly sad when any military personel gets killed in action, but for the media to name the shift and the area before notifications went out is so amazingly sad. To think that some of these familys will here about this on tv first.

Such a shame that some of the most elite minds and bodies have perishied today, my hearts go out to their loved ones. What a tragedy.

Really. I live in a small sh*t country with only five million people, and no one is a threat even to us. Sure there are people who hate the US, and it's not high on my list of favorite countries. But realistically, who can possibly do anything to you?

    ...............

Nevermind, I don't even want to have this discussion.

It's really tragic that those people died, and my heart goes out to their families.

Yeah, it's a discussion for another time in another place. Just think about it, ok? ;)

I feel sorry for all the people, not just the seals. ;)

Admitted? I would say "claimed." To the Taliban, having committed the act would be an accomplishment to boast about.

So forgive me if I take the claim with a grain of salt, pending further investigation.

They are responsible for this crash. They are all celebrating. All of them. They will pay greatly for what they have done to the American people. Im afraid we will be at this War longer then anybody hoped for, cause of our massive economy rescission. I think it's time to pull out of Libya. As much as i want to help the Rebels for freedom, i just think we can't afford any more wars. Libya is not our primary objective. The War on Terror is. I hope to eventually see the day when we win the War, American flags rising up the air, waving our true glory and to see the Taliban and the Al-Qaeda running away like a bunch of cowards.

    Admitted. Claimed. Whichever you want.

To be honest it's been a long hard day, I didn't think about the distinction.

Same here. I'd especially like to see the Al-Qaeda run away. :) I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday so that constant fear is always on the back of my mind, I was like 5 or 6 when It happened.. Now I'm currently 15. But, anyways, I hope to see the day when America is victorious. :) that'd be great.

Pull our boys out and let the world that hates America deal with their own problems but when the Taliban comes knocking, and they will, don't call us!

I thought they were part of the same unit, but didn't take part in the raid.

My thoughts go out to their families, too. :(
