A brief sojourn into the life of Kyro

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by kyrozetera, Oct 14, 2007.

Generally, not a very interesting story.
Droll, boring, mediocre job, working at a call center where I actually spend my time in between calls writing because it keeps me from going insane.

I spend much of my time with friends and family philosophizing and exploring the depths of reality, attempting to scrutinize every quanta and, in doing so, only finding further depths in which to delve. Ah, the wonder of the infinite. A spiritual path follows closely with this effort, trying to understand deeper the nature of the universe's design and, consequently, the nature of God. Through doing this, I hope to forge a closer relationship with Him.

See, I'm generally a Poet. Have been seen the wee years, just hadn't fully realized it for what it is. The world is one giant page on which has been written the poetry of life. This is an ever-shifting poem, always growing and breathing. A living masterpiece. In my efforts, I can only hope to reflect the Beauty which appears before me. Creation is a wonderful process, and a gift worthy of much thanksgiving!

I also write much in the way of fantasy, from short stories to a metaphysical/spiritual/poetic novel that I'm working on. That description doesn't really even go very far in exemplifying the work, but it's a decent effort. ;)

Well, I'm sure you're quite frantically trying to find an escape from this deeply entrancing horror-fest, so I'll let you off the hook now. Good luck, and Godspeed on your journeys. (I know I'll need it on mine)

    Peace,

    -Kyro

I'm glad you found us. I've worked in call centres and they are pretty soul destroying but at least you have chosen wisely in terms of a distracting pursuit, I hope all is to your liking here on the site and I see you've already got yourself involved which is a good thing.

I hope to see you enter into our weekly contests; see the links below for more details.

Short Story Contest (11) - Theme: Travel - Writing Forums

Weekly Poetry Contest (22) - Writing Forums

Hello Kyro, Welcome to the Writing Forums.

Once you slip over the edge into insanity, you'll be fully a member of the community.

If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners.

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room on this site, therefore, is a true workshop, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information.

Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
