    Ability to block

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by FlakeandFins, Jul 30, 2008.

I was wondering if any consideration had been given towards being able to block other users so that you didn't have to see any of their posts anymore.

And yes this was inspired by a certain thread that devolved into nonsensical foolishness. I wish I could wipe it from my memory. A "block user" feature seems more convenient.

All in my humble opinion, of course.

Nope, vBulletin is not designed to do that. You can block individual members (although I'm not sure if that extends to posts), but your only option with threads is self restraint :)

Actually, something like this does exist. However, it only hides the posts in a collapsible folder of sorts. To access this feature, go to the profile of the offender (gee, I wonder who). Just above where it says their last activity, click "User Lists" and then "Add to Ignore List".

Came in handy a few summers ago when we had someone with a humor so dark it can only be described as 'jet black'.

Lmao Adamant ... I knida miss that dude, he cracked me up sometimes. :p

And yes, there is an "ignore user" option, although how it works I m unable to tell you as I have never used it before. In all honesty FlakeandFins, I would just suggest ignoring their posts if they are offensive.
