I think it would be a wise idea to not bring this thread into that direction. Unless we want it closed, of course. I realize there are chips of all shapes and sizes on all kinds of shoulders, but let's not go there.
Yeah back to the original questioned If someone told me "Evolution says there is no God" I'd tell them\show them it was not true but if they believed there was no god's then I would leave it alone in short if it can be proven wrong (as in 2+2= 4 not 3) then I will tell them or show them NICELY if its soemthing thats not fact (Religion, politics, morals) I'd stay away form it, just cause its a mess
I'd prefer to open peoples eyes to other possibilities, rather than just change it. But thats me. How they take it in, is up to them.
Unless they are a very fickle person, you won't be able to change their views anyway. But no, it's not okay. People are entitled to opinions. So unless they're going to try to break the law, commit genocide or whatever, you mind your own business.
That's interesting, I was just coming here to post a similar thought: I got to thinking it was sort of an egotistical question. I mean, no one can change anyone's mind. People make choices about what to believe, based on experience and on what information they are given and then choose to believe. I believe there is a fish that lives deep in the ocean that has an extension from it's forehead with a "light" that comes on at the end to attract food. I believe it because I saw a picture and read about it. So maybe another question would be: If that fish is a big hoax, I'd appreciate knowing about it.
