Hey folks, I know I don't post here that often, but each time I have it's been informative and refreshing. I came here during a bout of writer's block and the advice and positive reinforcement I received really helped. I've made little updates on my progress in the meantime, and I still read the threads here when I have a chance. Anyway, long story short - Today I signed a contract for a publishing deal with Inspired Quill. My debut novel, a fantasy fiction story entitled Queen of the World, is slated to be released in time for summer 2012. I'm pretty happy right now, and I thought I'd share the good news. I've read a few posts about people being discouraged by rejections and long waits, but the one tip I can give is that with the right pitch, a publisher which fits your work and a little luck, then anything is possible. Trust me. If anyone's interested, I'll be making weekly blog updates about the process from contract signing to book release, and perhaps it will prove interesting to others to read about it 'as it happens'. You can find my blog at Making it to the page. Thanks for reading, and I hope to post here a little more regularly in future!
