    Action/Fight Scenes

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by DomTheDoxx, Jul 26, 2012.

Can anyone recommend me some books that have quality and quick-paced fighting/action scenes? I'm trying to improve that aspect of my writing because a lot of my ideas revolve around combat.

Well, I haven't read anything of the sort in a while, but I'd say James Patterson can do some pretty intense action. Although I hear he has quite a slew of writers working under his name. Try it out, it's your personal taste too.

Dune, from Frank Herbert, has a bit of single combat in it. The Sun Also Rises, from Heimngway, and also Moveable Feast, if I remember correctly -- but it's been fifteen years since I've read the last one, so don't quote me. Hemingway liked his fisticuffs, though.
