It doesn't matter how old you are. It only matters how old you act.

sorry didn't mean to put it like like mammamaia. Please forgive me.

Let me rephrase my comment, you are as old as you want to believe. :)

SORRY mammamaia and I seriously thought you were younger than that anyway. :)

Heh, you should have tried to spin it in your favor. Say something like:
"And what does that make me?"
    "Wise beyond your years."

Of course, I used to subconciously assume that when I am retired, I'll have had plenty of time to come to terms with my age; however, lately from what I have observed it seems as if, the knoledge of what has all ready passed before my eyes and the growing awareness of my own mortality may be the one thing that will not heal with time.

I am in my early 20's as of today. I'm not implying that I expect to die any time before what would be natural; however I do tend to think on these things a bit.

    Age is limitless.
With tech today you could live to see 168. you can't say you wont. lol Because you just never know.

I actually admire your age the things you must have seen lived through hell you at least lived through World War 2. That alone deserves respect.

Was you in the army. I know a few members here were Military.

    oh that's a relief I was a bit worried I may have offended you. I'm glad I didn't, I felt so guilty.

But honestly age is nothing, my nan was 71 would be 72 soon if she was still here, but to me she was only around 50yrs old. She was such a active happy go lucky person and at the end of the day that's all the matters as far as I'm concerned anyways.

    looks like that's me, princes...

xen... military?... nope!... i was too busy having and raising my 7 kids in/between/after two marriages and divorces... yes, i can remember wartime rationing, victory gardens, v-e day and the dropping of the a-bombs on japan... don't know that it qualifies me for respect, but it certainly gives me a wider perspective on this human-made mess of a world than most of you can have... but i sure hope i don't get stuck here for another 100 years! ;-)

arielly... you need to lighten up a bit, honeybunch... you didn't do anything to feel guilty for... btw, my own mom died last january just 3 days before her 93rd birthday and her mother lived to 89... i only hope i didn't get their longevity genes...

    love and grandmotherly hugs, maia

You've got it spot on there mammamaia you've got my respect.

i must admit though i wish i were 18 again that to me seems so very long ago. I was so innocent back then. I hit 27 in march that makes me closer to 30 than i care to think of.

I so wish a Vampire would bite me so i could keep my youth.

So do we have any soldiers amongst our ranks then.
I have respect to those that fight for their lands. Not sure if i agree with the actions that america have made.

    I know of a few.

I dont really see age as a problem sure when i was 16 i loved been young and watching the way girls walked but I only fancied girls my own age.

Now that I'm older I find the women in the 30s are the sexiest I've ever seen. And I never look at anyone younger than 21. So i guess when i reach 40 - 50 thats the age group i'll proberly fancy then.

    Very intersting.

Age is just a pain. In todays society its becoming less important how old a person is. Be it 68 - 20
As long as we are still breathing and healthy we are ok.

I agree with you on that one Reaper. Age is most definately less of an issue in society today. It doesn't really matter what age a person is, it is what the person is like and what they do with their time in this world that truely matters. :):)

I'm 19, grew up pretty fast, my husband and I look like we're 14...it's hilarious when we go to the grocery store and people are like, "Are you two getting groceries? Doing errands for your Mom?" So...yes, it's fun, my husband's 23 and looks, like a I said, 14.
