And then a further shriek and a kick while they are down.

That about covers the relationships between countries in the UK!!!!

:) That was a rhetorical question - lol. I know exactly how you (Lucy) feel - I experience a lot of that too (except it's because I'm Asian.)

People should consider when they are labelling other nationalities, what affect it may have on them. For instance by calling Welsh people English, Irish people English, or even English people Scottish. If people hear this often enough about other nationalities, they will assume this is normal. Therefore they will continue to keep this trait in existence.

Like Banzai said, you do just look older. Also for the record and in agreement with Banzai, you do have lovely eyes. Not only eyes, you have a really cute looking face and I am sure if you produced a smile, that too would be wonderful. :)

Forgive me for also using the word "cute". As I am 39 and have a daughter, who is almost 20, I constantly use that word. However if I am asked my opinion on her outfit, I tell her she looks beautiful (when she does) or to change outfit if I don't think it suits her.

I am Scottish and i think it is a bad thing when Scottish people say "I dont want to be called British, im from Scotland." This implies that someone who is Scottish is not British, and since anyone who is anyone knows that English are British, this convinces them that British means English... which is the problem in the first place

If you live in Great Britain, you are British. If you live in America, you are American. If you live in Californian, America, you are still American. If you live in Scotland, Great Britain, you are still British. You can be Californian and American at the same time, same as you can be Scottish and British at the same time.

Thats the way i see it anyway :) I mean, you wouldnt say to someone "Dont call me Scottish, im Glaswegian!"

As long as you only hijack a thread and not the person who created it.:)

It would probably be best if became the owner, not the hijacker :)
