Am I the only one who gets inspired by video game music?

Like, its not all chiptuney stuff. Its really good. Like this for instance

What about you? Does stuff like this inspire your writing?

 

I have full playlists of of the music from the Twisted Metal series.
and Full OST's from Metal Gear Solid, DOOM 2016, Quake 4, and others.
But I have a massive amount of music on my youtube channel, and
video game OSTs make up maybe 1-2% of all the music that I have
'collected' over the years.

 

Are you implying that Video Game Music isn't some of the best shit out there?

 

I love video game music. I write to game music while I write all the time. My personal favorite is soundtrack to the Guilty Gear Series.

 

Oh man, if you like Guilty Gear, have you ever listened to the BlazBlue music? That stuff gets my blood pumping.

Nope. The majority of my mp3 player has video game music that I had become obsessed with over the years.
