    AMP Got Published!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by A.M.P., Nov 3, 2014.

You may all know me as A.M.P., the local wanna-be writer who thinks he knows everything but today I am officially A.M.P., the published writer who thinks he knows everything!!!!

It's just a small literary magazine publishing but I am so proud and happy for myself!
It was a very short 2 day open call for stories with an unfamiliar theme to me but I gave it my best (I had the 2 days off) where I just thought and wrote my best as quickly as possible and I honestly thought I didn't stand a chance (I spent a month on my first draft alone last time so this felt like a rush job to me) but it paid off!!!

I should e-mail the magazine editor a thank you note, right? :3
I am so psyched I am telling everyone!!!!

Lovely. Enjoy your success. Nay, celebrate it. And drink plenty of water between celebrations....;)

And so begins my reign as an alcoholic writer! Woo!
Seriously, though, think I may have some maple whiskey to celebrate with my hubby :3

    I be trippin'

Thank you everyone else as well for your heartfelt congratulations.
I learned a lot from many of you over the years so I thank you all for the great help and advice you have given me and others.

This is a huge confidence boost, I no longer feel as if I am wasting my time with my novel. It feels so much more real and serious now.
