    Hi everyone

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by RachHP, Jan 16, 2015.

Is it just me, or is there no funny and original way to title an intro thread? Ah, the dilemma...

    Anyway...

Hi, I'm Rachel (which consists of being: 27, female, married, English, unemployed and one half of a love-hate relationship with semicolons).

I was looking for a good place to hang out virtually and meet some fellow aspiring/in-the-process writers, and you looked like a friendly and active bunch so here I am!
I'm writing a trilogy at the moment, my first attempt since my teens (I wrote a LOT back then, but managed to delete everything, and what survived is on 'floppy disks' which are proving difficult to crack open.)
The process is amazing, but exhausting and terrifying and freaking addictive (which I'm sure you all, already know). Hopefully I can participate and find some new virtual-pals to talk 'shop' with.

Feel free to swing by/mock my penchant for extended sentences,
    Thanks everyone,

    Rach x

How many different ways can you spell "Hello"?

New threads get easier from now on.

When you say you wrote a LOT, I take it you don't mean the first three books of a quadrilogy entitled Lord of the ???

    'bah dum ksch'

Meant for emphasis, not an acronym, but thanks for the heads up ;)
To clarify, I wrote abundantly/in great measure/often/prolifically. There were many hours spent generating text, most likely completely unworthy of second thought/editing/print, but I thought it's one of the only writing-related facts I could come up with about myself so I threw it in!

    Thanks,

    Rach

    Hey there, Rach!
Why don't you send those floppies over, my brother has a floppy disk reader thingy in his desktop PC. ;)

Now have some fun around here. Cheers!

    Thanks everyone :)

@Komposten - tempting, but if they stay sealed away in secrecy I can pretend they were magnificent! Also, my mother in law has an old computer so there's hope that I can lure out the pages eventually....
