I haven't read Reader's Digest for a long time so I don't know if the column, "It Pays to Increase your Word Power" still exists. For many years that one column was my favorite part of the magazine. My vocabulary increased with nearly every issue. I hope the column is alive and well.
It was in the copy I was reading in the dentist's waiting room this morning, but heaven knows how old that issue was I always used to do the "It pays to increase your word power" quiz, and was always disappointed if there were any words I didn't already know.
