    Decency Policy?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Starving Writer, Jul 27, 2008.

Sorry if this is a silly question but...

Does this site have a decency policy regarding what can and cannot be posted. I have a story that is quite vulgar (not so much the language but the content in general) and would very much like to post it if possible.

    Thanks much

Yes it does. Scroll right down to the bottom of the hompage and there are four links in right hand corner of the screen. One of them is 'rules'. What can and cannot be submitted should be in there.

The general principle is that stories should be able to have a PG13 rating ( i believe that's a film rating... I'm english lol) but you can also have a disclaimer. if your still unsure, maybe pm one of the mods and see if they'll look at it, and they can decide whether it's suitable for general posting.

Just to clarify - a PG-13 rating equivalency roughly defines the limit of what may be posted on the site. A disclaimer does not allow you to exceed that level, but is a good idea if the writing is close to the limit and may upset some members.

Especially, if you dig around, there are a *lot* of young teen, even pre-teen members. Got to take care of them, even if they aren't necessarily going to read it. Not all abide by disclaimers.

We're supposed to abide by disclaimers? Oops. *shrugs*
